I’ve had this twice from 1.5 pint champagne bottle and once out of a 12 oz cap bottle. Today I poured a 1.5 into a tall pilsner glass. Pours a hazy golden color with fine bubbles and a thick bubbly head that lingered a little too long. Balanced and diverse hoppy aroma accented by estery ripe fruit. Definantly a Belgian in flavor, with esters to spare and hints of clove. The aftertaste is sharp and slightly bitter. Mouth feel is thick for a lighter beer but doesn’t stick. 100 degrees in Austin toady and there’s nothing I’d rather drink. Maddog (234), Kettering, Ohio, USA

Hennepin is very active with hints of yeast, hops and spice. Certainly a good beer, refreshing, yet on the big side. Almost at times finishes hot, but still very smooth and crisp. As we near the summer solstice, is there a better style of beer than a saisson? BuckeyeSammy (455), Cleveland, Ohio, USA

Light, pale golden color with minimal head and lacing. Aroma is light lemon, funk, and yeast. Crisp. Strong carbonated kick. Heavy Spice, sweet yeast, light funk, a little tart/ funky. Really good beer despite low rating. BeerEssential (96), Massachusetts, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jun 16, 2008 Nice fluffy white head atop a golden, slightly cloudy and bubbly body. Lots of lacing as it goes down. Aroma is slightly barnyard and the taste is sharp and crisp, but with a quick finish. Somewhat alcoholic or tart, but thanks to the quick end it makes for a drinkable and interesting beer. MaltOMeal (652), Land of Sugar, Texas, USA

Aromas of orange, mango, and dry grass. Starts out crisp and dry, but finishes with a subtle sweetness. Sweeter than Saison Dupont. Airlifter (116), Shawnee, Kansas, USA

Bittersweet flavor with a lot of spice; coriander, clove, hint of apricot. Yeasty good stuff. IDunno19 (78), Ames, Iowa, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Jun 14, 2008 As with any beer I’ve rated on this site, this was another top notch contender. Citrusy/spicey aroma with a hint of alcohol smell. Pours as close to gold as I imagine you can without actually pouring the metal and a foamy white head. Taste was full and improved with warmth. Carbonation was a bit much sometimes but I truly cannot complain. Poor slow though BTW, it gets head QUICK.
