COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This hoppy, farmhouse style ale has a champagne like effervescence with a crisp but light on the tongue finish. Similar to the Belgian Saison style , this beer serves well as an aperitif. Hennepin has a majestic golden hue. The style is called Grisette or farm house and is considered to be in the domain of the Belgian Saisons.

UPDATED: AUG 29, 2010 Poured a cloudy (almost opaque) straw with a huge rocky head (the cloudy character cleared as the brew settled down). Aroma of spices, fruits, slightly sour and sweet. Taste was mild spices, pepper and fruits... with a slight sourness - all a little watered down. Medium to thin body, medium carbonation. Overall good/average... no where near a Belgian Saison.

Fresh with a bit of a light farmhouse tone in the aroma. Gold color with a descent white head. A spicey ginger toned golden ale flavor.

Draft at Brouwer’s. Clear golden pour with a thick white head on it. Has an aroma of fresh cut banana, apricot, citrus, and lightly peppery spice. Has a creamy palate with a strong amount of carbonation. The flavor of this is loaded with light fresh fruit as well, a little acidity and lemon, and peppery spice, earth ,and grass. Very easy to drink and balanced, while still having some pretty bold notes in it.

Pours a yellow golden haze with life. Has a medium foam head. Has a belgium spice aroma with hints of citrus and bananas. Has more carbonation then other saisons I have had. Gives it a creamier feel. Has a sweet grassy taste with a slight bitterness. Very tasty. I did not remember this brew being so good. But my palate is a bit more experienced then it was the last time I tried it.

Pours hazy golden, lots of bubbles, decent head. Aroma-earthy, malty, grassy, slight sweetness. Taste-sweet, hay, slight bitterness and a very slight amount of barn. Decent body, very good overall.

Appearance is a very light and golden color. Thick and bubbly head, much like an root beer float. Tons of carbonation. Almost looks like a white wine, to some degree. Deep, spicy Belgian scent. Has a nice sour smell. Appealing, slightly wine-like aroma. It smells sweet and even a bit flowery. Very strong and pungent taste. Bursting with serious, HOT Belgian flavor. Almost takes my breath away due to its strength. Close to a liquor in flavor. Light and bubbly feel, but with a major kick on the back end. There is even that hard liquor "burn" at the end. This is delicious, but let’s face it, it’s a one-off because of its strength.

Bottle. Pours hazy gold with a thick white head and lots of carbonation. Flavor is light and bubbly, sort of like champaigne. Some dryness and citrus notes, but overall rather boring.
