May 4, 2008 Some real funk here in the aroma with a distinct smell of marijuana. This beer is fine but the flavor is not that memorable. Had this a couple of times and dont think ill be coming back

Impression: A nice creamy yellow color, ends hazy in the pour due to style, bottle conditioning and large particles. A nice white head with good lace. Seems just a bit chemical or metallic in flavor. Usual fruity notes are missing from this Belgian style. Awash in oceanic carbonation. Reminds of champagne, but without the hit of alcohol. Flavor isn’t very forthcoming, but spiciness is there. Not a bad beer by any means, but it is mostly about texture, which is uncommon. I didn’t enjoy this very much.

May 2, 2008 Draft at Stub & Herb’s. Pours a cloudy, yellow-orange body with generous white head. Aroma of malts, yeast, citrus, and a hint of hops. Medium-bodied and well-balanced. Flavors of yeast, wheat, with grapefruit, melon, and orange tones. Refreshing, crisp finish with a slight bitter citrus bite.

May 1, 2008 Bottle at Bishops Arms, Stockholm. Pours hazy light golden, almost yellowish, with a big rocky head. Hoppy nose with some cheese and strangely conceiled fruit.Tastes decidedly fruity and bitter. Well-carbonated and very refreshing.

May 1, 2008 I am a huge fan of the Ommegang Brewery, and while this one isn’t bad it isn’t as good as I had hoped it would be. Pours a decent gold with a white head. The first sip is quite pleasant but not as amazing as other brews. I enjoyed this beer and will try it again in the future.

Apr 30, 2008 Cloudy Golden color white foamy head. Malty aroma with yeast tones. Nice bubbly feel in mouth like chapagne. Sweet malt taste with slight hints of hops and yeast.

Apr 26, 2008 Clove and pear aroma with a chlorophenolic undertone. Sparkling amber, with a huge white head. Alternating flavors of fruit, grain, and phenols. Lemon grass finish. Dry, complex, amd balanced, but slightly tainted. Nicely crafted, but flawed production. Good candidate for a re-rate.
