Commercial Description:
This hoppy, farmhouse style ale has a champagne like effervescence with a crisp but light on the tongue finish. Similar to the Belgian Saison style , this beer serves well as an aperitif. Hennepin has a majestic golden hue. The style is called Grisette or farm house and is considered to be in the domain of the Belgian Saisons.

Bottled. Hazy yellowish golden colour, small white head. Aroma is fruits, yeast, alcohol and some spices. Flavour is very much the same, with the alcohol giving a really sweet sting. Also some toffeeish notes. Strange.

Quite spicy, with citrus and malt flavors that sort of remind me of an octoberfest. I think it was a good introduction to this style.

Cloudy yellow with a large white slowly diminishing head. Aroma was mildly sour with yeast, spice and citrus. Sweet lemon & yeast tasting with a light citric hop finish. Decent but not terribly exiting.

OK for a saison. Spicy, yes, but kind of crudely so. Also there is a cloying banana flavor. The mouthfeel, which I can only describe as articulate, is a positive. While this is beter than a good many American versions of the "Saison" style, it can’t approach Dupont, Pipaix, or Fantome. It’s just not as complex or satisfying.

On tap at Newport Pizza and Ale. Poured a shiney golden hue. The aroma was simi sweet and very much Belgian. The carbonation was terrific and brought out a nice pear taste. The hops were very well balanced and worked well to tone down the abv which was very undetectable. Thankyou much Mr. Bad Ass John Henry for another insane reccommendation.

I really liked this. Poured a solid golden color, cloudy, in a very good way. Very fine carbonation. Very light, citrus flavor, good strong hop flavor. Doesn’t taste sweet to me like others have remarked. Made me feel refreshed, big time.

Bottle... Poured a cloudy gold with a thick, frothy, white that was consistent throughout the drink. Esters, clove, and citrus hops for the aroma. Really sweet, and floral, cloves and citrus hops and wonderful lemon-grass flavors.

Pours a hazy light golden amber color with about a finger of white head. Aroma is a bit yeasty and has spicy aromas similar to a wit or hefe. Taste is a slightly spicy malt flavor with a crisp finish. Good stuff.
