COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This hoppy, farmhouse style ale has a champagne like effervescence with a crisp but light on the tongue finish. Similar to the Belgian Saison style , this beer serves well as an aperitif. Hennepin has a majestic golden hue. The style is called Grisette or farm house and is considered to be in the domain of the Belgian Saisons.

Bottle. Lots of carbonation w a huge white head that produces a nice grassy aroma. It is crisp and light w notes of malt and a dry, slightly sour finish. Not a particularly strong or overly funked Saison but still a decent beer.

Pours a bright yellow that is very carbonated and hazy, with a full, foamy white head. Aroma is Belgain yeast, spices, lemon, and cloves. The taste is very Belgian as well. Lots of yeast and spices, along with a good amount of lemon, some orange, and banana. There are some sour notes here. Aftertaste is heavy lemon and spice. Medium in body, with a somewhat rough, yet bubbly texture. Lots of fizzy carbonation. There is some resemblance to a champagne like mouthful. Good stuff.

Pours a clear lemon yellow colour. Thick white head that lasts. This smells more like a blonde abbey style beer than a saison. Yeasty upfront, some citrus, then bready malts. Taste has a crisp lemon note followed by soft malty flavour. Enjoyable and moreish. Really reminds me of leffe royale!

Corked bomber. Pours a clear pale yellow with a very active visible carbonation rising from the very bottom to a healthy white head. Aroma a light, yeasty bread with citrus notes. Flavor carried by a full body - salty to start, then citrus in the middle with a soft tart aftertaste. Should be a nice session beer.

2 bottles @Belga Cafe, Washington D.C. Sep 2012 - Finally remembered this after being much impressed by this wit-saison blend but not taking any notes. Great saison with some yeast meat on it, or conversely, wit with a lean and dry hop & fruit character to it. Great with mussels, probably also in mussels. One of the most successful B/US crossovers I have come across on this East Coast trip - would love to try on this side of the pond.

This is a quality beer and something I'd serve often. However, it lacks in what I would call the true craft experience in that it seems to taste highly manufactured. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Thx to Dennis !

Head: white, quite large, creamy/foamy
Colour: hazy pale yellow
Smell: hops, yeasty and malty sweetness, reminds allot of a Tripel Karmeliet !
Taste: just your average little bit better made Belgian Blond ale ... nothing special just good but nothing special, craftbeer they say ?

12 Fl. Oz. Bottle. Poured a cloudy pale yellow with a huge nice white head, lots of lacing also. Taste is of fruit mostly combined with some wheat and sugar. Refreshing beer that can be a bit complex but at the same time goes down easy.

750 ml bottle - pours clear yellow with a medium soapy head. Aroma of cloves and malt. Full body with mild sweetness. Taste of tangerine and orange peel. Nice easy going beer, not too different from your average Belgian blond beer... Okay
