Aromas of yeast, lemon, banana and spice. Highly carbonated (maybe a little too much) with flavors of banana, yeast and spice. Very light and refreshing with a nice dry finish. An excellent American Saison. Sonicdescent (376), Donora, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Aug 23, 2009 Appears a very light golden/yellow with a bubbly head that turns into an island/crown. Carbonation continues throughout the glass.
Smells vinegary and maybe a touch sweet.
Taste is crisp and rustic, as the label says! Very dry finish with a dancing sensation throughout the sip. Sour is there, but not nearly as much as a lambic.
Mouth is light bodied and heavy carbonation.
This is extremely easy to drink, not nearly as scary as I had feared. Would buy again, now I want to try some more of this style.

Taste is fruity sub acid effervescence, banana bread, yeasty, undertones of pepper-spice with a smooth finish that entices you for more. Incredibly drinkable, palatable and versatile for a late summer beer. dperrey (7), Durham, North Carolina, USA does not count | 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Aug 19, 2009 Poured from a 750 mL bottle into tulip. this particular time, we added a slice of orange to the glass, which really enhanced the citrus flavors fo the beer. It is cloudy orange in color, light head. Flavor is light and refreshing, one of my favorites on a summer evening. As in the aroma, citrus notes in the taste too. Very good for the price and availability. roder60 (1020), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA
