Commercial Description:
This hoppy, farmhouse style ale has a champagne like effervescence with a crisp but light on the tongue finish. Similar to the Belgian Saison style , this beer serves well as an aperitif. Hennepin has a majestic golden hue. The style is called Grisette or farm house and is considered to be in the domain of the Belgian Saisons.

Golden of color with a white head. An aroma of sweets, spicy notes. A flavor of apples, spice and dry notes.

750ml bottle from Bevmo Carmel Mountain. Brew poured a cloudy deep golden color with a good sized off white head. Great aroma with oranges, lemon, clove spice and yeast present. Flavor was smooth, citric, and slightly tingly.

This Saison pours a cloudy gold with a thick 1 inch white meringue head. A decent amount of carbonation makes its way to the head. Yeasty esters with the usual orange, clove floral on the nose. Taste is spicy on the tongue up front and mellows to a fruity, floral finish. Very smooth with almost a dry champagne mouth feel. Dangerously easy to drink.

Bottle (33 cl), thanks rlgk, at Tre små rum, Göteborg.
Shady yellow color, small white head. Acidic and yeasty scent. Very moussy mouthfeel. Yeasty and spicy taste with alcohol. Low bitterness.

Bottle at 3 små rum, Göteborg. Pale golden color, bubbly white head. Fruity aroma, some honey. Yeasty fruity, flavor, malty and with some spices. Ok but not that much more...

22oz bomber, purchased about 1 month ago. Golden orange pour, very cloudy, with a head that has a life of it’s own. This thing is 2.5 finger thick at least, very sudsy and crystalline in appearance. Has a very rocky, craggy top and leaves tons of sheet lacing. I’m giving this a 5 mostly for the head. Initial aromas of oranges, coriander, lemon peel, floral hops, honey, yeast and a slight hint of peaches. Fore is more of the same, with tons of fruity esters, honey, coriander and floral hops begging for attention. The back of the swallow brings a welcome sour peach kick that is pretty shocking at first but very pleasant and adds a lot of life to the beer. Medium bodied but light on the palate and very easy to quaff. I don’t really get any champagne like spritzy qualities from the carbonation or body of this beer. Finish is medium length, coriander and citrus fruit being the stars, then a sweet dose of honey and some funky yeast, and finally the floral hops round things up. Great beer.
