Commercial Description:
This hoppy, farmhouse style ale has a champagne like effervescence with a crisp but light on the tongue finish. Similar to the Belgian Saison style , this beer serves well as an aperitif. Hennepin has a majestic golden hue. The style is called Grisette or farm house and is considered to be in the domain of the Belgian Saisons.

750 ml-A slightly hazy golden body with a huge tight white head. Aroma of yeast, sourness, and a bit floral. Taste on this light to medium brew is of lemon, citrus, dryness, yeast, and sweetness. A great tasting Saison and another great brew from Ommegang.

Poured a light golden color with a nice white head. Smelled yeasty, with a touch of sourness and peppery spice. Taste was well balanced, crisp, slight lemon, some tang, smooth belgian yeast. Full carbonation that filled the mouth. Straigh forward and solid.

Pours a clear yellow. Sweet with some bittereness. Some Belgian yeasty aromas with some dryness. Spice, earthe and some citric aomas. Also some alcohol aromas. Hingh carboantion that makes the beer feel like foam in the mouth. Very Belgish.

Poured cold from a tap, aroma not very strong. Taste was crisp, medium sweetness, very short aftertaste, effervescent feeling. Pretty good. A great value for the buck.

Poured from a 750ml caged and corked bottle and served in a tulip. This saison poured a clear golden color with a thick, fizzy head of off-white foam that lasted forever. A large amount of attractive, heavy lacing coated the entire inside of the glass. The aroma of the beer was made up of biscuit, mild orange peel, lemongrass, and peppery yeast esthers. The flavor included lemongrass, bread, spicy and earthy yeast esthers, peppery hops, and just a hint of alcohol. Crisp and refreshing. The mouthfeel was medium-bodied and slightly dry with very active, champagne like carbonation. The combonation of a beautiful aroma and a subtle, complex flavor made this a great beer. Nicely done!

(bottle thanks Philsener) Pours a light golden with a long lasting white head. Light spice in the aroma that is quite similar to Duvel, with a light touch of sourness and hops too. Taste is pretty good with initial spice and hops and a nice sweet fruity finish followed by a touch of bready yeast dominating the finish.
