Very Belgish. restless7 (104), Lenexa, Kansas, USA Dec 31, 2007 Poured cold from a tap, aroma not very strong. Taste was crisp, medium sweetness, very short aftertaste, effervescent feeling. Pretty good. A great value for the buck. MoDog (909), Griffith, Indiana, USA Dec 28, 2007 Poured from a 750ml caged and corked bottle and served in a tulip. This saison poured a clear golden color with a thick, fizzy head of off-white foam that lasted forever. A large amount of attractive, heavy lacing coated the entire inside of the glass. The aroma of the beer was made up of biscuit, mild orange peel, lemongrass, and peppery yeast esthers. The flavor included lemongrass, bread, spicy and earthy yeast esthers, peppery hops, and just a hint of alcohol. Crisp and refreshing. The mouthfeel was medium-bodied and slightly dry with very active, champagne like carbonation. The combonation of a beautiful aroma and a subtle, complex flavor made this a great beer. Nicely done! Guerde (693), Welcome, Minnesota, USA Dec 24, 2007 (bottle thanks Philsener) Pours a light golden with a long lasting white head. Light spice in the aroma that is quite similar to Duvel, with a light touch of sourness and hops too. Taste is pretty good with initial spice and hops and a nice sweet fruity finish followed by a touch of bready yeast dominating the finish.
