Commercial Description:
This hoppy, farmhouse style ale has a champagne like effervescence with a crisp but light on the tongue finish. Similar to the Belgian Saison style , this beer serves well as an aperitif. Hennepin has a majestic golden hue. The style is called Grisette or farm house and is considered to be in the domain of the Belgian Saisons.

The aroma was earthy and spicy with a undercurrent of sweet malt. The fruity and earthy aroma with that Belgian yeast peppery spice was well achieved. The beer poured into the glass clear pale golden straw with an off-white moussy tall everlasting head which laced the glass from top to bottom. The flavor was nicely peppery with an undercurrent of sweetness that was trounced by the level of bittering and the peppery spice. The flavor was fruity with a light crisp apple presence and a substantial earthy hop flavor. The finish was dry with lasting light pepper into the aftertaste. The body was medium with a high level of carbonation and a creamy bubbly texture on the palate. A nice beer with some pretty evident warming post consumption. 750 ml corked and bailed bottle. Product of Belgium.

Bottle. Pale golden, huge head which lingers. Pleasant aroma, belgian yeast, pilsner malt, subtle hop scent. Soft aple flavor, malt background solidly dried by a distinctly belgian yeast character, with just enough hop flavor. Smooth drinking, subtle complexity. Great.

This golden ale poured with a huge fluffy white head. It has the barnyard flavor of a country saison with some fruitiness and a little hoppy bitterness. Refreshing and light, but with substantial flavor.

Attractive clear straw color topped with pillowy eggshell foam. Light lemony, spicy, spritzy aroma. Burgeoning dry floral flavor, somewhat muted chalky and mineral tones. Warming, lightly spicy finish, light dough, quite hoppy. Good!

750 ml bottle. Poured with a very large white cloudy head. Color was very light blonde with some cloudiness. Very sweet aroma of dark fruit and spice. Taste is mild compared to Duvel but this is like it’s little brother. A steal at less than $6 a bottle. ALways a pleasure to have a nice saison.

Bottled at Järnet, Stockholm. Hazy golden, fluffy head. Orangey nose. Dry, lively and unexpectedly hoppy. Fresh and minerally with evident yeast character. Long resiy bitter finish. An excellent, elegant beer I would never have guessed being brewed outside Belgium.
