This hoppy, farmhouse style ale has a champagne like effervescence with a crisp but light on the tongue finish. Similar to the Belgian Saison style , this beer serves well as an aperitif. Hennepin has a majestic golden hue. The style is called Grisette or farm house and is considered to be in the domain of the Belgian Saisons.

Hazy, suspended golden colour with large white head. Fresh spice on the nose. Taste medium bitter, mild sour and sweet. Dry finish.

Excellent Saison! Fruity, aromatic, with nicely foam head. Very refreshing, try it with seafood! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Gotta be a saison. Golden color with notes of pepper. Not too bad, but definitely something for warmer days.

Really nice. Banana, pepper, flowers, and white grape are the dominant flavors. Pour is really heady with foam errrrywhere. I enjoy this saison.

Pours a nice hazy golden color with light white head. Coriander, spices, cloves, and wheat on the nose; follows onto the palate. A little funk makes its way in there too. Nice finish, dry, and wheaty.

From BA review on 2-12-12 - Served in a chalice. Appearance- Served with nice orange color and a bit of haze. A nice billowy white head is present upon serving that fades slowly over time leaving a bit of lacing. Smell – Citrus with some more green apple aldehyde and some phenol like aromas typical of wild yeast brews. Some bready aromas mix in with the more wild yeast aromas giving a rather nice “wild” aroma. Taste – A sour citrus is heavy up front and is mixed in with some breadiness from the wheat maltiness. The yeast cake flavor develops more toward the middle of the flavor alongside the green apple aldehyde and some phenol flavor. Bitter and sweet fruit flavors rounds out the taste profile; with the bitter flavors winning out over sweet and leaving the tongue with a rather lemony grapefruity flavor. Mouthfeel – A rather heavy level of carbonation suites the brew quite well. This coupled with a moderate body makes it quite easy to drink. Overall – A very nice beer. Sour and bitter with just the right fruit sweetness. Well done for a Brett fermented beer.

Poured from 750 ml...golden with huge head that lasts forever nice lacing....not a fan of the belgian style of beers they all remind me of budweiser which i cannot stand...but i was told by a fellow beer lover to give this one a try...and it is by far the best i have tried of this style...i will buy again.

Liked it, very smooth, little bitter aftertaste but worth it. Great sit down and relax beer.

Bottle, pours gold with a white head, sweet taste with fruit, malt, and yeast, has a little spiciness to it, more carbonated than I expected but it does not take away from the beer

Pours gold with light lacing. Aroma is wheat, bubblegum, alcohol. Flavor is Big bubblegum upfront, clove, mild banana, some medicinal/herbal stuff, and a bit of astringency. This is not what I think of when I think of saisons, but is good in it’s own right. Must admit, I was thinking of Walt when I drank this, so there’s that.
