COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This hoppy, farmhouse style ale has a champagne like effervescence with a crisp but light on the tongue finish. Similar to the Belgian Saison style , this beer serves well as an aperitif. Hennepin has a majestic golden hue. The style is called Grisette or farm house and is considered to be in the domain of the Belgian Saisons.

A potent saison. Great after taste and a full hoppy flavor. Good color, a good choice if your looking for your first saison.

Aroma or grass, hay, honey and lemons. Cloudy pour. Average head with good lacing. Taste average at most. Not the best judge of Saisons though as it is my first.

Pours a clear yellow color with a farmhouse happy aroma. Taste is of grass and hay straight from a European farmhouse. This beer had the typical saison taste with a slight bitter hop aftertaste. The alcohol content was well hidden.

So this is a real Belgian ale, brewed and bottled in Belgium and imported in Cooperstown, NY. They aren’t calling it Ommegang on this bottle, just Hennepin. Gorgeous cloudy, golden pour with huge, creamy, white head and champagne bubbles. Nose of lemon, nutty yeast, and wheat. Nice flavor, fruity and refreshing, light bitterness. Clean palate, with a light body and lively carbonation. This is a well made beer, a good deal for a Belgian saison ($7.99 for a 750 ml bottle).

Pours a hazy golden yellow with a frothy white head & a champagne effervescents. Aroma of spicy Belgian yeast, citrus, lemon and a sweet malty wheaty aroma in the background. Taste is crisp lemon citrus, other sweet fruits, spicy peppery yeast with a nice clean dry finish. Excellent saison that’s easy to drink in a warm day or a nice winter evening.

Bottle from Microbar, Manchester. Hazy gold pour with a white head. Sweet spice and vanilla aroma with notes of caramel and wheat. Sweet spice flavour, splash of lime in there too. Fruity-dry action. Dry finish.

Bottle 750 ml. Bought in RedStone Liquor Store (Stoneham, MA). Pours a clear honey-golden, with meidum, semi persistant white head. No lacing. Aroma: green apple, crisp, saison yeat, hops, and spices. Taste is fruity, with smooth hoppy bitterness. Velvety texture with champagne like effervescence. Refreshing and enjoyable!

Okay. I would probably like it better if I likes saisons, but not one of my favorites.

UPDATED: FEB 22, 2014 Bottle. A- Herbs, floral, citrus, wheat. A- Pale yellow color, clear liquid, white head. T- Citrus, very floral, medium sweetness, slightly hoppy, herby. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, dry crisp finish. O- Not a normal saison. Lots of citrus and floral notes. Almost champagne like. A good beer just unusual for the style.
