COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This hoppy, farmhouse style ale has a champagne like effervescence with a crisp but light on the tongue finish. Similar to the Belgian Saison style , this beer serves well as an aperitif. Hennepin has a majestic golden hue. The style is called Grisette or farm house and is considered to be in the domain of the Belgian Saisons.

very lively, hazy golden, huge white head, rocky, excellent lacing... yeasty, spicy, light lemon, eggy, lightest tartness... lively, medium bodied, dry finish, very dry... some mild spicing, pepper, belg yeast, very very traditional flavors, spice/pepper picks up in the finish... excellent example...

Bottle from Stirchley Wines. Beautiful bright yellow, with soft white froth. Smells a little tart and almost appley. The mouthfeel is fuzzy and crunchy, like sugar puffs. There is a sweetness to the malt, a slight metallic twang and a soft, wheaty taste, underscored, by a dry hopped middle and finish. Very pleasant, but feels a little too close to a Belgian Ale along the lines of Leffe Blonde, to be really delicious.

A cloudy, yellow pour with a pillowy white head. The aroma is hoppy and earthy with some lemon. The medium body has a slick texture with lively carbonation. The taste is moderately sweet to start then finishes somewhat tart.

Bottle from Stirchley Wines, Birmingham. Light golden pour with a medium sized white head .Some citrus and pissy hop present in the nose. Flavour wise, some muffled hop mixed with belgian yeast and hints of spice, alongside fairly prominent booze. Not too great really and definitely on the underwhelming side of the tracks. The fact this is tied into Duvel, wasn’t really a ringing endorsement in my book either. Definitely overrated.

Pours, a nice golden yellow with a frothy with lacy head. Smells of fruits and berries along with spice and grain. Tastes of almost exactly like it smells, with fruits, berries, grains and the head on this beer will stay with you the whole way. Great beer, good Abbey saison......

750ml brown bottled, corked. Golden, fairly clear pour. White head is fluffy and airy. Good streaky lacing in the glass.Floral nose, sweetish, bread and grain. Malty taste, bread and grain, a little sweetness, hay, hint of alcohol in the back end. Some late grassy hop aftertaste, noticeable bitterness, and dry finish. Effervescent, strong carbonation, medium bodied. Overall, pretty clean and quite refreshing.

750mL corked bottle poured a hazy straw color with huge white head that settled to some nice lacing. Aromas of grains and yeast. Taste is fruity sweet with some lingering hoppy bitterness in the finish. Carbonation is vigorous and body is light to medium providing a nice mouthfeel.
