shortamdstout (3), Alabama, USA does not count Jul 20, 2009 found this on accident, at gingerman fort worth. later bought a bottle, the spicy aromma followed by the citrus nose liked every bit of this offering bdjames29 (272), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA Jul 19, 2009 This is really just me getting my feet wet with the Saison style. A weird offering that will take some fine-tuning to appreciate. I’ll try again and re-rate for sure. Aroma was spiced and fruity. Deep yellow on the pour with minimal head. Relatively thick mouthfeel with an uneventful, smooth finish. Ferociousaurus (35), Louisville, Kentucky, USA Jul 18, 2009 Cloudy yellow pour with soap sudsy head and a little lacing. Smell is spicy and fruity, and taste is much the same Some understated hoppiness. A little watery on the finish makes this a fairly unsatisfying beer, but you could do worse. Narnad (681), Wonder Lake, Illinois, USA Jul 15, 2009 Pours a nice golden color with a sticky, thick, dish soap suds/divinity type of head. The head leaves fantastic lacing with big clumps of head on the sides of the glass. Aroma has a slightly skunky hallertau hops note with a bit of soured fruit and a really nice farm funk. Flavor is fantastic with a great sourness melded very well with a farm funk, light lemon citrus, pils grainy flavors and a light vanilla at the end. The beer feels very smooth with a great density for the style. Overall I love this brew, I wish the funk was just a bit stronger but as a whole the flavors mixed well with the aroma to make a fabulous experience. MrRoss (614), Delta, British Columbia, Canada Jul 14, 2009 What a fantastic head this one arrived with! At least five-plus fingers worth of fomay white to start off some truly marvelous lacing. The body was a cloudy yellow-orange hue. Aroma was hops and spices, along with some undercurrents of bananas and bread. Taste - very much the same as the nose. Mouthfeel was smooth and pleasing. The finish was satisfying, thick, and sweet without being cloying. Tripplebrew (486), Saint Paul, Minnesota, USA Jul 12, 2009 Pours a hazy golden yellow with thick white head. Aroma is sweet sugar that is balanced with a spicy pepper. Flavor is light caramel/vanilla notes that aren’t over powering because of the tart apple clove offsetting it. Body is light with high carbonation. I really loved this beer and it got me into the Saison style. Aggy360 (115), Anchorage/ Vista,CA, Alaska, USA Jul 11, 2009 My first saison and I enjoyed it a lot. This was a hazy yellow with a white head, leaving a nice web lace. Sweet aroma with some spice showing through. A medium body with great taste. An east drinker with a nice crisp finish. Chef Chad (102), Grand Junction, Colorado, USA Jul 10, 2009 Smells of summer, Candy, Stone Fruit and some spice. Pours a nice mellow yellow with a good white head. Light medium Body with ample Carbonation that makes it very refreshing. Very smooth, crisp and Clean Finish. This almost like a braeburn Apple to me, Tart, Sweet, Sour and very crisp..I can drink this beer a lot.. Well Done
