COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This hoppy, farmhouse style ale has a champagne like effervescence with a crisp but light on the tongue finish. Similar to the Belgian Saison style , this beer serves well as an aperitif. Hennepin has a majestic golden hue. The style is called Grisette or farm house and is considered to be in the domain of the Belgian Saisons.

I had a glass of this on draft at Paris Club in Chicago. 1 finger head with a light bronze color. Hardly any smell at all. Light grain and barley smell. Not much flavor really. Pretty typical taste. i didn’t find this to be that interesting.

pours a nice light gold color that is more on the clear side. Spice loaded nose with some ginger and coriander along with some navel oranges and a slight bit of funk. While there are good tones on the nose, it doesn’t jump out of the glass. It is mostly attack on this as it falls off on the mid-palate and finish. Good medium body with more noticeable citrus on the palate.

12oz bottle. Aroma is bright and flowery with a little hint of sugar. Looks yellow, cloudy, very bananna looking. Medium mouthfeel, quite carbonated (too much). Taste is bitter, hoppy up front with a very vegitative feel to it. Quite a few sour notes creep in, some stay through the finish

Serving glass: Poured from bottle into Summit Scandia chalice. Appearance: Pale orange-yellow with a very nice cap of white foam and a little lacing. Aroma: Banana, clove, noble hops, and dry pale malts that are tart and almost hay-like. Taste: Some barely sweet banana and fleshy fruit before seriously drying out with cloves, pepper, tart malts and noble hops. Palate: High carbonation, medium-light body, ridiculously dry finish. Has that champagne feel of a good Saison. Overall: Complex and refreshing - one of the ultimate summer beers.

Pours a cloudy orange with a medium head. Floral aroma with grass, coriander and a little citrus. A good amount of carbonation. Spicy flavors of pepper and yeast with a grassy strawlike finish.

Poured from a corked and caged bottle. Appearance is a very light gold with a huge white head of foam that lingers for a long while. Good lacing of splotches down the side of the glass. Aroma is pretsty well awful. Smells like skunk mixed with piss and cheap watered down lager. Taste is completely different though. I get sweet fruits and slightly bitter hop presence. I can’t believe this actually has a pleasant taste after what it smells like. Very well carbonated beer, spritzy and tingly on the tongue. Light to medium mouthfeel. Overall this beer is good, I just wish it didn’t smell horrible.
