4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Pours a pale straw colour with a modest white head. Aroma is of grainy bread, fruit and bubble gum. A little mustiness in the nose that isnít unappealing. Taste follows the nose with bready malt , fruit, a slight tartness, and light spiciness maybe ginger?mouthfeel was quite dry with high carbonation but rich and silky almost soapy how I like it. Overall a delicious beer I would happily drink all summer.

So this is a real Belgian ale, brewed and bottled in Belgium and imported in Cooperstown, NY. They arenít calling it Ommegang on this bottle, just Hennepin. Gorgeous cloudy, golden pour with huge, creamy, white head and champagne bubbles. Nose of lemon, nutty yeast, and wheat. Nice flavor, fruity and refreshing, light bitterness. Clean palate, with a light body and lively carbonation. This is a well made beer, a good deal for a Belgian saison ($7.99 for a 750 ml bottle).

Okay. I would probably like it better if I likes saisons, but not one of my favorites.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at Angels Trumpet. Slightly hazy with lots of carbonation. Grass and hay on the nose and loads of grass on first sip. Mixed with the light malt it tasted like eating buttered toast after cleaning off your law mower blade. Faint yeasts and dough flavors as well make it a decent light drink.

Delicate and delightful, it pours to a puffy head, releasing all sorts of gentle aromas like wet grass, faint yeast and maybe a shade of honey. The taste almost has plenty of nuances like lemon and pepper. Hard to believe the alcohol weighs in near 8 percent because this is smooth.
