COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This hoppy, farmhouse style ale has a champagne like effervescence with a crisp but light on the tongue finish. Similar to the Belgian Saison style , this beer serves well as an aperitif. Hennepin has a majestic golden hue. The style is called Grisette or farm house and is considered to be in the domain of the Belgian Saisons.

Cloudy, straw color, effervescent, tall head. Light body, but intensely flavored, spritzy, not much heat for the alcohol content, fading body but fruity finish. Moderate bitterness, refreshing but not crisp, dry but this is in balance with the other characteristics. Yeasty, fruity, melon. Very refreshing and tasty drink, perfect with chinese food in a summer night, like this experience was. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Hazy straw-colored beer with a fizzy white head that crackles as it dissipates, which happens rather quickly. Somewhat pungent nose with hints of candi sugar, grains of paradise, lemon, and slightly sour yeast. Flavor is crisp and delicious with a bit of sweetness followed by sourness layered on top of a wisp of bitter hops. The airy texture and bracing effervescence really round out the experience. This is a beautifully-crafted beer.

Tons of carbonation, be careful with a tulip glass. Light yellow with a bit of amber in color. Rather complex in smell. Earthy scents with some spicy and fruity ones as well. Described as hoppy by ommegang but I didn't get that much to warrant such a description. Tastes yeasty, spicy, banana, aromatic hops. Rather dry. Feels dry, a tiny bit of sweet malts. Spices are tasted after the rest dissipated. Enjoyed this saison rather highly. Probably one of the better options ommegang has, behind three philosophers.

Beautiful pour is a bubbly dream: effervescent tangerine with a one finger champagne cap. This is a fantastic farmhouse saison & it sets the bar for the style high. I get tart candy, funky yeast, & slight spicing in each sip. The finish is brisk, with a squirt of squeezed lemon. Glad I stumbled onto this at the LCBO. I may even let Helsdon in on its location as he covets the stuff.

Bottle at home from Bottle shop Canterbury split with Sarah. Translucent yellow straw colour with a big ol’ lively white head. Aroma is nice saison yeast, wheat, camomile, orange and spices. Flavour is doughy wheat, orange , light spices. Palate is effervesceny , light and refreshing. Decent saison, not as good as some Partizan grisettes.

As good as any US saison I’ve had in recent memory. Dry, big line of fruity spice, cinnamon, fizzy finish and good drive. Alcohol fills out the palate nicely but overall a delicate palate weight.

Tap at happy gnome. 10oz pour. Light gold with small white head. Floral but subtle, smells of a tiny bit of alcohol. Crisp saison types of flavor. Very crisp and easy to drink. Some oily mouthfeel with a lot of spice. A good go to beer.
