COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This hoppy, farmhouse style ale has a champagne like effervescence with a crisp but light on the tongue finish. Similar to the Belgian Saison style , this beer serves well as an aperitif. Hennepin has a majestic golden hue. The style is called Grisette or farm house and is considered to be in the domain of the Belgian Saisons.

(bottled). Beautiful golden color, brilliantly clear. Rich malt dominates the aroma with whiffs of sour fruit, yeast, and faint green apple. Big malt leads the flavor in this medium-bodied, effervescent ale. Subdued peach flavor and a nice spice addition. Assertive hops complement a soft, lingering finish with candi-like sweetness and peppery, warming alcohol. A gem, though lacking the mustiness I love in some of the Belgians.

Used to be one of my favorite beers. Very few beers have better quality for the price.

Amazing fruitiness and herbiness in the aroma. Slightly cloudy, golden appearance with a pillowy head. Nicely high level of carbonation on the tongue. Tastes wonderful! Has a moderate funkiness to go with the fruity and herbal notes. One of my absolute favorite beers.

Nice fluffy white head atop a golden, slightly cloudy and bubbly body. Lots of lacing as it goes down. Aroma is slightly barnyard and the taste is sharp and crisp, but with a quick finish. Somewhat alcoholic or tart, but thanks to the quick end it makes for a drinkable and interesting beer.

Tons of hay along with some pepper, esters and a touch of barnyard in the aroma. The taste brings more of the same, with some citrus notes. Beautiful, dry finish. Dangerously good at 7.7%!

Snifter pour. Golden with finger width head that quickly dissipates. Sweet fruity aroma. Taste reminiscent of La Fin du Monde. Smooth mouthfeel, slight booziness. Good, not great.

Poured into a Duvel tulip. The color is a nice solid gold. The head is white, fluffy and huge like a Duvel. The aroma is full of yeast, clove and fruit. Very scrumptuous. The flavor is robust and fruity. Smooth finish for a crisp clean brew. Excellent.

A nice saison. pale amber in appearance with a nice head. Lots of carbonation. Nice spicy notes. Very crisp. I’ll be drinking a lot of this.

Drank in tulip glass poured from bomber. Aroma - belgian yeasty aroma. Typical beligian style beer. Appearance - golden yellow with very frothy head. Taste - sweet first taste with beligian blonde aftertaste. Bready with some spice. Palate - explodes with froth in mouth. Nice flavor though. Overall - better than most belgian style beers but still not my favorite.

Spicy aroma and a bit overcarbonated, but good taste that unfortunately cannot be fully appreciated. Tasted on tap at Brooklyn Waterfront Beer Festival, 6/16/2012.
