This hoppy, farmhouse style ale has a champagne like effervescence with a crisp but light on the tongue finish. Similar to the Belgian Saison style , this beer serves well as an aperitif. Hennepin has a majestic golden hue. The style is called Grisette or farm house and is considered to be in the domain of the Belgian Saisons.

pale yellow/gold with a good snow white head that sticks around. The nose is citrus and light spice. The taste is bright, hops with lemongrass and a hint of cumin. A good amount of carbination makes for an interesting dance of flavors. It went very well with steamed mussels and toasted french bread.

My first saison and I enjoyed it a lot. This was a hazy yellow with a white head, leaving a nice web lace. Sweet aroma with some spice showing through. A medium body with great taste. An east drinker with a nice crisp finish.

Pours a hazy gold with big white fluffy head and lots of lacing. Pretty light on the nose although there are hints of bread and yeast. Taste is light sweet malt with hints of citrus, honey, and hops. There is some spice and banana that comes and goes. Medium mouthfeel with lots of carbonation.

Beautiful Saaz hops aroma stays through to the end. Refreshing and crisp.

Delightful. Citrus aroma, large white head, full bodied and smooth. Perfect for late summer/early fall. Hints of coriander and nice hoppiness. Very very good.

This beer had very nice lacing and was a cloudy brassy golden pour with a lasting creamy head. Very attractive beer. This had a lot of yeast in the aroma with a slight twinge of alcohol and bitter fruit. Almost a cake batter sweetness to it as well. The flavor is crips with an astringent/bitter citrus finish of hops to it. Palate was indeed effervescent with a decent body to it. Overall a very tastey summertime brew. I am a fan.

12 oz bottle. Cloudy pale yellow color, with a white head. The beer has great aromas with some banana and citrus. The palate is refreshing with small champagne like effervescence. Great smooth taste, really great and fresh tasting beer.

I haven’t enjoyed a beer as much as this in a long time. A lovely fruity nose but not overpowering. Poured slightly cloudy and golden with a lively head. A full, round taste that I found heavy but lovely. This is a beer I can have a long and prosperous relationship with for sure. Soft carbonation and a nice bite to the finish all work together to produce one of the most entertaining and complex beers I have tried lately. Lighter than Three philosophers but I preferred it frankly. Definitely will recommend.

My first experience with the style. Looks pretty much like your standard Belgian-style blonde ale, but that’s where the similarities to anything I’ve ever tried before end. The aroma was very unique: a hint of citrus, yeast, and quite...musty for lack of a better term. Taste followed suit with a lot of musty sourness accompanying a little citrus, some candy sweetness, and more alcohol than I would have thought for being only 7.7%. Overall very unlike anything I’ve tried before.
