This hoppy, farmhouse style ale has a champagne like effervescence with a crisp but light on the tongue finish. Similar to the Belgian Saison style , this beer serves well as an aperitif. Hennepin has a majestic golden hue. The style is called Grisette or farm house and is considered to be in the domain of the Belgian Saisons.

This cloudy, honey-gold beer has a bright, white head. The nose is yeasty with loads of heavy, sweet malt and light undertones of citrus hops. A slight touch of mustiness as it warms. The palate is medium-bodied with warm bread, soft fruits and light spice. The finish is once again yeasty, but semi-sweet with velvety malt and old lemons.

This country ale comes as a favorable surprise. Its color is a clear golden-orange (very pretty), with a pale, fluffy head. Its aroma is fruity and slightly sour, but its flavor is a bit darker than that would suggest; fruity, but also rather nutty, with a warm finish almost like that of a good brown ale. I like this ale.

Cloudy yellow with white head. Fruity (mostly citrus), spicy and slightly sweet, but with yeast sourness very present as well.

Everything about this brew reminds me of the origonal ommegang, with the exception of being lighter and maybe a little bit "fruitier" It also seemed to have less of an alcohol taste than many other Belgian ales. Flavor is not very complex.

*did not like would not buy* aroma: nana, warm gold malt sour butter funk grass. app: hazy grass gold pee pond. flavor: mild typical gold belgian farm inspired. it lacks anything new different or unique, its as if some one followed someone elses recipie for a text book high school home economics grade saison.. and got an A.. not an A+ though. nothing bad or wrong.. just a bit so what. all the normal flavors are there. it lacks some grassy barn funck to be an A+ rip off, but its fine. palate: to thick not thin and spritzy enough. OA: way to go .. a good high school copy of a monet. you passed sasion brewing 101.

Opaque cloudy yellow, good head retention. Wonderful yeast, malt, citrus, banana, and bubblegum aroma. Relatively creamy and smooth. Quite complex in taste. Initial taste is creamy vanilla, banana, and bubblegum, but finish is slightly sour, bitter, and hoppy. Very well done.

Smells of summer, Candy, Stone Fruit and some spice. Pours a nice mellow yellow with a good white head. Light medium Body with ample Carbonation that makes it very refreshing. Very smooth, crisp and Clean Finish. This almost like a braeburn Apple to me, Tart, Sweet, Sour and very crisp..I can drink this beer a lot.. Well Done

Bottle at Lockview. Pours a straw yellow. Color with a massive white head that disappears over sometime. Aroma of oranges, lemon and some hop spiciness. Nice balance between the beer and the alcohol. Evident but not overwhelming. Tastes citrusy with some spiciness on the back end. A bit of pepper on the back end as well. Tart and delicious. A prime example of the style. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Poured cold from a tap, aroma not very strong. Taste was crisp, medium sweetness, very short aftertaste, effervescent feeling. Pretty good. A great value for the buck.
