5 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 20/20
A friend, My Dad and I bought about 20 beers one night and had a taste test going on. Hennepin was the first one we tried and we have enjoyed it since. Great head that seems to stay until the last drop. Was in NYC and saw they had Hennepin in 12OZ bottles. Couldnít resist.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Nice golden body with a white foamy head. The aroma was fairly skunky hoppy and fruity). The overall effect was excellent. The taste was failry sweet with a little hoppy finish (enough to balance the brew, not to make it overly bitter). On the whole I enjoyed this beer. The other Ommegang I have had, the Three Philosophers, became much to heavy for full enjoyment, where as this was just right; drinkable to the last drop.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Potentially the first beer I had that really got me into it all. A lot of nostalgia here with this one.
Light, very mildly hazy corn colored beer with a thick head and tons of carbonation. You can smell the cloves prominently with that traditional belgian yeast. This flavor is just as good as I remember it. The spice hits hard from the very beginning with a booziness that remains throughout. Finishes very bready with more spice and that "saison" taste that I donít have a word for (Almost like a good soapy flavor)
Hennepin is always a go to for me because itís widely available and very drinkable.

Pours to golden body with THICK white head that lingers for several minutes. Not a great beer but definitely worth your money.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Hazy golden with thin white head. spicy (mostly coriander) and fruity aroma that reminds me banana candies. Fruity and spicy flavors that leads towards a dry finish. Overall refreshing beer.

3.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours golden color with large head that lasts throughout. Very smooth for the unexpected high amount of alcohol. There is some spice flavoring that I cannot place along with citrus flavoring though thankfully the citrus does not dominate the beer. All in all a very delightful summer beer and one of my favorite relaxing beers.

3.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
What a great offering Ommegang has put together--do yourself a favor and give this one a shot. The pour is a hazy golden yellow, with noticeable carbonation and a medium/mediium-small head that dissolves very quickly. The aroma is very sweet--a bit of sweet grain and somewhat malty. Thereís some sense of floral/fruity notes that resemble bananas with apple pie. The flavor is multi-layered, but incorporates all of the aspects of the aroma and adds a sweet herby taste along with more fruitiness, with ample carbonation to keep the sweetness light. The sweet/spice taste linger into the aftertaste and ths sweetness does leave a bit of a sticky mouthfeel. In the end, definitely something worth trying and something Iíll definitely keep on hand.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
OK for a saison. Spicy, yes, but kind of crudely so. Also there is a cloying banana flavor. The mouthfeel, which I can only describe as articulate, is a positive. While this is beter than a good many American versions of the "Saison" style, it canít approach Dupont, Pipaix, or Fantome. Itís just not as complex or satisfying.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours with thick foam that quickly subsides. Straw ti gold color. This is a very subtle and drinkable saison. Good quality but a little less pow than I was hoping for.

Sweet champaign aroma with a bolden color and white large bible head. Flavor is crisp, clean, and malty!
