pours with fair head, golden color, a little more bitter than other saisons, but still spicy and fruity.

Poured from a bottle this beer is an inviting golden color... almost clear with a bold fizzy top. Nice lace is forming as I sip. Aroma is fruity, yeasty with peppery notes...reminds me of a fine wine. Flavor is an outstanding cornucopia of different fruity sweetnes with banana, lemon, apricot and plenty of peppery spice to balance. Not at all heavy with a pleasing fizzy mouthfeel. Pleasant yeasty aftertaste that invites another sip. Ommegang seems to have captured the belgian "magic" in this Saison.

yeasty bitch. Drank it fast. Hit hard. Good brew. Nothing is better then drinking on the job. Tagz should know, He is a school teacher. This was crisp. and rustic. tangy at the end. a little bit acidic. got the old bowels moving. more so then coffee. So I gotta go do a poo.

4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Aroma of mild sourdough yeast didn’t give truelly off to what lies beneath the incredibly golden body, this ommegang pours a voluminous 3 finger head and sticks to the glass like a desert gecko. The flavors are subtle sourdough bread with light color fruits of apricots, peaches and some funk thrown in... the finish is crisp and dry, the taste lasts and cleanes the palate. I associate it with a brut champagne, but a little more fruitier... I like these saison style beers.

12oz bottle poured with a nice, frothy head. Aroma of citrus, spice, and cloves. Excellent going down with a wonderful spicy taste flanked by banana, hops, and citrus. Wonderful American saison.

Enjoyed on tap at Palm Tavern. Pours a rich gold with a thick and lacy white head. Smells of hay, wheat and clover with a slight effervescence. The taste is creamy wheat with a touch of sour and hops. Creamy palate with a lingering finish with some dryness on the mid to back of the tongue.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours hazy golden, with a two finger fluffy head which dies down quickly. Yeasty, sweet slightly hoppy nose. Taste is dank lemon, citrus, banana, with yeast, has some sweetness. Finish has a nice yeasty (banana, clove) taste, sitting on top of a sugared sweetness.
Yes I did say "sweet" a lot there....just thought it a but too much for the style.
Pretty good besides

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Quite spicy, with citrus and malt flavors that sort of remind me of an octoberfest. I think it was a good introduction to this style.

2.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Small white head, pale golden color. Pretty highly carbonated. Smells malty, fruity and yeasty--very much like a weizen beer to me. Fizzy malty taste, with a very yeasty and bitter finish. I don't mind the flavor until the finish. A little too yeasty sharp for me. All-in-all a decent beer though.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
The hoppy fruit spice aroma didn’t carry over into a complex tasting experience. It drank too carbonated and with an evident alcohol taste. Not as good as it’s more potent brother but still a worthy drinking experience at much less of a cost than most other Belgium offerings.
