Commercial Description:
This hoppy, farmhouse style ale has a champagne like effervescence with a crisp but light on the tongue finish. Similar to the Belgian Saison style , this beer serves well as an aperitif. Hennepin has a majestic golden hue. The style is called Grisette or farm house and is considered to be in the domain of the Belgian Saisons.

Bottle at home - club tasting. Cleay pilsner yellow - white head. Yeasty, youghurt, fruity, light citric, citric sour, a bit mellow for a saison - it needs some crispness, freshness and sharpness.

(Bottled, 0.75l) Hazy yellow with a smallish head. Strongly corianded-orange-peel-spicy, very witbierish aroma. Flavor is a hybrid between wit and saison, with yeast, orange-peel, some grainy malt. Medium-bodied with medium carbonation. Not really a Saison, but definitely not bad as a beer. Reminds me of La Chouffe.

Draft at Taphouse @ Ghent, 8/5/06: Pale gold with but a thin head. Sweet and sugary with an almost syrupy take. A hint of apple cider, even. True to style, for sure. Quite good.

75cl bottle. Tasting@beermouth. Pours cloudy yellow with a white head & nice lacings. Yeast, spices & fruits (citrus/orange). Some wheat & coriander. Full bodied & quite fizzy carbonation (foamy). Fine American saison!

Bottle. Huge head with good duration. Color is golden. Aroma and taste are sweet and fruity with a nice amount of hops.

Poured a cloudy yellow orange with a real small white head, although it left nice lacing. Creamsicle, banana, slight daiquiri. Citrusy, melon, rustic taste. Creamy mouthfeel. Smooth start with a spicy alcoholic finish.

Bottle. Yellow / orange colour with a white head. Aroma is sweet, alcohol, honey. Flavour is sweet, alcohol, honey, fruit, hop. Nice beer but there were a taste i don´t like in the beer.

Pours a golden color with a nice, frothy, white head. Kind of a dusty, and spicy nose, yet a little sweet. Very similar taste with apple and hops prevailing. A tad on the tart side. Not like any saison I’ve had, and I like it!
