COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This hoppy, farmhouse style ale has a champagne like effervescence with a crisp but light on the tongue finish. Similar to the Belgian Saison style , this beer serves well as an aperitif. Hennepin has a majestic golden hue. The style is called Grisette or farm house and is considered to be in the domain of the Belgian Saisons.

Aroma is of sourdough, banana, cloves, citrus, and barnyard. Appearance is straw colored and cloudy with a thick, fluffy, long lasting head. Taste is complex, hoppy and sour to start, then it becomes tart and apple like, which then morphs into a faint taste of figs and molasses, finishes dry with a bitter bite. Palate is champagne like, very crisp. Overall this beer is complex and delicious, a must try for any lover of Belgian ales.

Spicy nose with a little mustiness, some grassy hops, a touch of caramel malt and yeast. Thick white, persistent foam with little lacing on the glass. Crisp on the tongue with active fizz and a sharp finish. Medium body with some soapiness. Pepper and yeast hit first with the hops and then malt finishing. Metallic / mineral touches and a a bite of alcohol in the end.

Too much effervescence. Decent flavor and palate but it's just too carbonated. If it had a stronger flavor maybe it would be good. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Really outstanding stuff. This and boulevard tank 7 are my two favorite saisons. Light and crisp but with a depth of flavor and a smooth long finish. No bitterness at all. Lovely.

One of my favorites. Pillowy 3-finger pour. Malty alcohol aroma with a hint of banana. Light and crisp with hints of lemon. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap in pint glass at Cask and Vine. Appearance is hazy-to-cloudy light yellow without sparkle, finger-width white head without lacing. Aroma is Belgian yeast, fruity esters. Taste is nice fruity esters, Belgian yeast with some citrus. Palate is medium bodied with thick texture, soft carbonation and finish like taste. Overall, a solid representation of the style.

Bottle from World Beer Market/Sake Taniguchi. Slightly hazy straw gold, foamy head that doesn’t leave. Citrus and coriander aroma, funky notes, Belgian yeast, champagne. Taste follows, lemon, apricot, orange, with spice and funk pushing through mid-palate. Medium-bodied, decent carbonation, crisp and dry finish. Really lovely, much closer to the Belgian style than most brewers saisons these days.

Pours a bright golden yellow with fizzy head. Aromas of tropical fruits and some citrus peel. Funky orange/lemon peel flavors with a nice woody funk.
