Hop House pays homage to the historic hop farm that stood on the brewery grounds over 100 years ago. Hop House combines the delicious aromas and flavors of a Belgian-style ale with generous hopping, including dry-hopping. A well-balanced, yet ample, hop character defines this fine pale ale, bringing Belgian-style beer lovers and hop-heads together to enjoy our Belgian-American love child.

More Belgian pale ale than American. Good balance of yeasty zest and bitter piney earthy hops. Iím pretty excited when Ommegang puts out a newb and this is no exception. Feel is nice for the style. Well carbonated with a nice bite. Iíll get again

Super cloudy and orange with floaties all over. Foamy sticky head. Bitter beer. Belgium style dominant but the crazy hops bring in the IPA side. Don't love it or hate it. Big beer for 6%. Had this on draft at Jerry's in Andersonville, part of a flight.

12oz bottle into a pint glass. Pours a hazy medium gold with a huge billowy white head. I made the mistake of pouring this a bit too fast and was very surprised at the amount of head. Excellent head retention with huge chunks of lacing. Aroma is very spicy and 100% Belgian as should be expected from Ommegang. Lots of coriander with hints of orange and lemon peel and lots of yeast. Some light bready malt in the background. Flavor is very spicy, more so than I was expecting. Tons of coriander like the aroma but I can also pick up what seems like ginger. Light orange peel and peach. The malt is very hidden and really just about buried under the yeast esters. Some caramel and cracker. Mouthfeel is smooth with abundant sparkling carbonation. Crisp clean finish. Overall, another great beer from Ommegang. Iím not sure this brewery even makes a bad beer. While the yeast could be tuned down a bit, all around it is quite nice.

12 oz bottle: Aroma has got a nice hop note with floral citrus notes, light apple notes, and a yeast scent as well. Appearance is a cloudy golden/orange with a thick white head that lingers around for quite a while. Taste has got a nice hop note with the Belgian yeast, apple, and light alcohol note. Palate has a good hop notes, and an lightly bitter and fruity after taste. Overall, Pretty good stuff. Cheers!

Pours a murky golden yellow with a very foamy, long-lasting white head. Has an aroma with floral notes, citrus hops, and hints of Belgian yeast. Flavor is citrus, lightly sweet Belgian yeast, and moderate bitterness. Pretty good.

pours hazy golden with a lasting white head and some spots of lacing. aroma is butterscotch, orange candies and hay. taste has minerally notes, heavy on the hops with an odd dryness. finish is a bit chalky. These attempts to hop up Belgian styles continue to elude me.

UPDATED: AUG 3, 2014 Draught > Gingerman. This is good. Really good. I normally wouldnít order this b/c I think Belgian pales or IPAs donít mix well but since Gingermanís wall was covered w/ a lot of crap from Rahr, Shiner, Sam Adams and session IPAs I took a flyer. This is a solid easy drinker that isnít too fruity from the Belgian yeast. Pleasantly bitter for a pale ale and dry too. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

355ml bottle. Amber pour, huge head. Nice spice aroma. Flavor is still suprisingly hoppy, nice american hops blend with the lighter belgian yeast strain.

On draft at Mudville 9 New York. Enjoyable hops balanced with Belgian character. Refreshingly hoppy without going too far. A solid summer choice.
