Pours a huge thick foamy head. It is as advertised, Belgian spices/yeast flavor meets a east coast IPA. Very hoppy with out being to bitter.

Refrigerated 12 oz. brown bottle poured into a Trappist glass. Deep translucent light orange with big bright white head. Aroma is dry orangey yeast, medium body, medium carbonation, and some small-bubble lacing. Taste is yeasty, herbal hops, some orange, and dry finish. Good Belgian ale.

Bottle. Moderate grain and straw for the malt, moderate to heavy herbs and grass for the hops, light dough for the yeast, with a hint of melon in the background. Head is large, frothy turning rocky, slightly off-white with good lacing and is fully lasting. Color is sparkling clear medium amber. Flavor starts lightly to moderately acidic, then finishes lightly bitter. Palate is on the lighter side of medium, slick with a lively to fizzy carbonation. Hoppy and grainy, it’s a nice unique Belgian Ale.

Great balance for a pale ale. Nice hop bite. More malt than a lot of pale ales.

Draft. Pours a hazy gold to copper with a decent sized khaki head that settles slowly and laces nicely. Cascade hop spice and pine shines alongside some tame yet distinct Belgian yeast spice and phenols, along with some caramel and toasted malt. Somewhat sweet, fairly bitter. Light to medium bodied, somewhat grainy, fairly active, finishing dry and spicy. Decent brew, on the milder side all around, but not lacking character.

12oz bottle. No code date. Appearance: Dark golden with orange tint, hazy, with a thick frothy white head. Aroma: Grassy, earthy, floral hop notes stand out. Hint of citrusy yeast esters. Taste: Sweet bready malt quickly turns to a sharp citric bitterness. grassy hop flavor hits on the swallow. Apple and pear yeast flavors appear as well Mouthfeel: Medium with some creaminess and a sharp carbonation. Finish: Dry an sticky on the tongue, with lingering bitterness, and flavors of fresh cut grass, apple, and pear. Overall: Wow. Amazing blend of a Belgian Pale Ale, with crazy American hopping. Hops dominate the nose, but the Belgian yeast comes thru well in the taste.

Pours hazy orange with heavy sediment. Foamy white head. Aroma of tropical fruits, light pine and floral hops. Taste is same with sweet bready malt backbone, super sweet OJ, grapefruit, banana, sugar cane and hop spice. Sweet nose, dry bitter finish with a bit of sugary tart. Good carbonation. Medium-oily mouthfeel.

[7026-20150122] Bottle. Hoppy orange grass and mild peat hints in the aroma. Murky, orange tan body with a medium-lasting foamy white head. Bitter cereal orange peel flavour with a dry leafy finish. Medium body is quite bitter. Tasty! (8/4/8/4/16) 4.0

Ha, it took me a minute to realize what I had here, presupposing it was just an IPA, I thought, oh man, its old. No, its a Belgian IPA. And its fine. Nice light banana wheat citrus zest phenol that I would otherwise not like but is balanced by the fruitiness and spicy hopping, resiny bitter finish.
