3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
See, Iím only 4 episodes from season 1 in, so I donít feel like I should be making a bunch of references yet because I donít really know enough. I could say "Tastes like boobs and incest", I suppose, because I understand that those are fairly constant themes throughout. Anyway, nice beer, fruity and spicy, with a Nice crisp finish.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
I have never watched the show, but I bought this beer because my bosses love this show and I can talk to them about it. Also, because I love beer. 750 ml bottle. Pours a pale golden color with a big white head. Aroma of fruit, specifically peaches, and mild spice. Flavor is crisp, clean, with a touch of spice. Some hops, some fruit, some belgian yeast. Nothing too crazy. Itís a fine golden ale.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
750ml brown bottle, corked. Light in colour, lemony yellow with haze. Fluffy white head with a rocky top. Good strips of lacing in the glass. Nose has grains, straw and light grass and citrus. Taste has grains, white bread, light minerals and grass toward the end. Dry finish with plain grainlike notes lingering, mild yeast spice and nice grassy presence. Bitterness is low. Light bodied, well carbonated. A nice accessible blonde beer with some Belgian notes. Not as complex as I was hoping, but good.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Thin head of bright white bubbles with excellent carbonation. Fruity aroma with some lemons, pineapple, some fresh bread and cereal grains. Color is a slightly hazy gold. Just like the Lanisters. Flavor is lemon and straw with more cereal grains and some typical herbal belgian yeast. Light effervescence in the mouth along with a bit dryness late swallow. Lingering spicy hops and yeast. A pretty good golden belgian. Thanks Kyle!

Bottle from Spirits Manahawkin. Pours a mostly clear golden color with a big sort of white head. Aroma is of grains, oat, light spices, some fruit. Taste is clean, grainy notes, light citrus zest, some mild fruits, apple skin. A nice, clean beer, nothing wrong with it, but I wanted more for such a great show, this beer is just good.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Presentation: 750mL brown bottle with a "bottled on" date and a "best by" date printed on the neck.
Served in an oversized wine glass.
Appearance: It has a cloudy pale yellow color with a fluffy, white, 2 finger head that sticks around and leaves lots of lacing.
Smell: It has a dominant spice aroma, courtesy of the grains of paradise. Itís a very peppery smell, but there is also a whiff of banana and some malt in the background.
Taste: Itís quite spicy, just like the nose, with a pepper taste at the forefront. Thereís some citrus and alcohol notes as well.
Mouthfeel: Itís highly carbonated, with a medium body. Itís smooth and creamy with a clean finish.
Overall: A solid brew but nothing extraordinary. I donít get the Game of Thrones tie-in or the Iron Throne name, seeing this is a pretty tame drink. Itís something cool to have if youíre a fan of the books or the series, but itís not worth the price tag for everybody else. This is supposed to be the first in a series, so lets hope Ommegang can step it up and create something a bit more special and unique.
