Collaboration with HBO for the Game of Thrones series.

Blonde ale with malty sweetness and a touch of fruity spiciness, Noble Hops aromas and notes of citrus. Suitable to serve to kings, or pretenders to the iron throne.

Pour slowly so as to not disturb the yeast sediment, but with enough vigor to create a luxurious head and release the rich bouquet.

Malty sweet with a distinct Belgian spiciness. Some citrus notes as well. High carbonation, but not in a bad way. Pretty good overall, not my favorite style but certainly worth drinking. Took forever to find the goddamn thing though, I had to order a beer that’s brewed three hours away from me from a store in California. Go figure.

Pours a nice copper/orange color with a white forthy head that lasts a good long while. Aroma is nice of yeast, average sweetness, orange, malt, bananas. Taste is medium sweetness with some spice/clove, fruit esters, malt and a little yeast. More of a fruity finish but not much. Medium body with a soft carbonation. Overall a solid beer.

Bottle split with DiarmaidBHK - pours hazy golden orange with a white head. Aroma is lemony with notes of some kind of spice, not peppery, exactly, but in that realm. Overall, very good beer, as you would expect from Ommegang.

Bottle from Wegman’s Williamsport. Pours yellow and cloudy with an inch of white foam. Leaves some lacing in the glass. nice lemon and pepper notes on the tongue. Could finish a little drier but still very nice.

Pours a straw colour with a fluffy, two finger, white head that fades a bit. Carbonation can be seen rising. Smells floral with hints of citrus, yeast, and spice. Taste is slightly spicy, with floral and citrus notes. Medium carbonation. Medium body with a slightly bitter/sour finish. Not a bad beer. Worth a taste for sure.

Bottle from LCBO. Pale golden pour with a thick white head - a slight yeasty haze. The aroma is lovely. Softly bready notes with a touch of light apricot, pear and lemon citrus. There is a very slight muskiness on the aroma initially with a touch of light vanillla as well. Moussey palate with a little bit of wheaty spice and a touch of light kiwi/gooseberry. Bright and lovely with a touch of light bitterness. Hops are perceptible - adding a little bit of light citrus and some herbal character as well. I really enjoy the balance of malt character with some minty/spicy yeast character. Lovely brew.

Hazy straw pour with good white head. Great balance, flavour and complexity here. My first from this brewery, and I’ll be looking for more.

750ml bottle with caged cork - decants a murky pale gold ale with a very frothy cap 3 finger cap, lively bottle conditioned carbonation. Aroma is sturdy but not pungent - spicy, cidery fruitiness, yeasty, malty with some light wet hay tones. Light body soft on the palate. Flavour follows aroma except the fruitiness is distinctly peach-like, spice and hops work together over the rigid pale malt spine to give good balance - finish slightly dry and hoppy-sharp. A boiler plate Belgian pale, well crafted but noting rally special to command the sticker price.
