From bottle, no 26 at Papsoes blindtasting. Pours hazy yellow and with a lacing white head. Grainy to grassy aroma, slight spiced. Fresh fruity and hoppy flavour, slight spiced. Ends spiced and mildly soapy.

My saison reviews always seem to go about the same. Never seem to have enough flavor. Straw colored and a little hazy, kind of leaves a wierd taste behind. I think its just a little bit too sweet for me, but my buddy loved it so its probably just a matter of taste.

Pours a lightly hazy golden yellow with a decent head that fades fairly quickly down to a ring. Aroma had a note of spice, some pale malts, a touch of something floral, and a nice bit of leather that seemed to be the focal point. The brett in my bottle appears to be making its presence known. Flavor was very much in line with the aroma at first. As it warmed, the leathery notes gave way to a herbal and slightly fruity flavor with a fairly dry and quite bitter finish. Need to pick up another bottle or two of this and forget about them. Very enjoyable.

Bottle sampled. Pours a hazy yellow with a one finger white head. Aroma of lemon, malt, caramel, citrus, and some spices. Flavor is quite mellow and smooth with citrus, lemon, yeast, earthy hops, and a hint of funkiness with a very dry finish

Batch #1 bottled in June. Pours with a lusty head, foamy and white, very nice. Light berry notes and grassy aromas waft off the top, along with yeasty notes and slight hoppy scents. The brew itself is abrupt, a nice flavor which yeilds a drying souring finish. Not too bad, probably a little better after aged a little longer.

Pours a thick cloudy orange with a little white head that dissipates given time. Aroma was rather unappealing seemingly overly yeasty and skunked. Flavor, however, was a remarkable turn around. Nice sweet light malt flavor followed by a dose of sourness. I can only imagine what this is going to be like toward the end of its lifespan (labeled at 2 years). Finish is drier than any other beer I have ever had placing it much more in the realm of wine dryness.

I wish I would give this a better rating, the aroma score tanks it though.

#26 [Blind tasting session @ Papsoe 30-11-2007] Average fizzy white head that mostly diminished. Hazy yellow / golden color. Fair lacework. Spice, grain, floral, herbal notes. Medium bodied with an average carbonation and light dry texture. Light to moderated sweet and acidic flavor. Light sour fruity finish.

Bottled. An unclear golden beer with a white head. The aroma is sweet with primary notes of fruit, but also with a light notes of brettanomyces. The flavor is sweet malty with quite strong notes of fruit and citrus as well as light notes of milk, leading to a dry spicy finish.
