jake65 (1658), Williston, North Dakota, USA Oct 24, 2007 Bottle from Tytoanderso - Thanks! Pours a hazy yellow with a nice white head. Aroma of spices blended with yeast and malts. Flavor is very balanced with spiciness and a little of that earthiness feel. Very smooth and crisp. IndianaRed (1553), Boise, Idaho, USA Oct 23, 2007 Bottle pours a hazy light yellow beige with a nice full fizzy white head. Light malty and musty aroma. Light malty funky flavor. Lively carbonation and light clean and dry.
Tasty.
BückDich (4793), McCall, Idaho, USA Oct 23, 2007 Bottle: Pours a lightly murky orange/yellow color with a puffy white head. The nose is spicy with a bright yeast and brett blanket, with a small pillow of ginger and a lightly husky note. The flavor is a bit sweet initially, but has a lightly hoppy bitter note that dries out the finish with a light lemony note in the tail. Quite good with leathery yeast, earthy hops and a spicy overall persona. Not as big as the brett can sometimes get a beer. Thanks Jake65! blankboy (3165), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Oct 23, 2007 My bottle (750ml) shared with tupalev & rudolf. Batch #1, June 2007. Pours a cloudy yellow with an average size diminishing fluffy white head. Nice lacing. Good but somewhat standard Saison aroma, yeasty with brett, light funk, fruit and spices. Flavour though is fantastic, so tasty and easy to drink: Funky yeast, lots of fruit along with spices and light hops in the finish. Alcohol’s well hidden. Medium bodied. A refreshing, very flavourful session beer -- I would love several pints of this! tupalev (2605), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Oct 22, 2007 Bottle shared with and courtesy of Blankboy. Nice yeasty, zesty aroma. Med to dark yellow, small white head. Very refreshing taste - very zesty, lemon, citrus, dry hops at the end. So drinkable, very little alcohol presence, simple yet contemplative. Great stuff. Cybercat (778), Georgia, USA Oct 19, 2007 This beer pours a beautiful, somewhat clear golden amber. It did not have much head, but this could have been a result of the bartender letting it settle. Aroma is strong and malty with a citrus hint. Flavor is rich, mainly malty, with a good hoppy nip and something of an alcohol bite. Aftertaste is smooth but edgy. dwyerpg (2519), Las Vegas, Nevada, USA Oct 18, 2007 Easily the highest score I’ve given a brettanomyces beer. A light funky aroma that grows as you wait on it. A decent flavor, just not amazing. Mrthirstyneck (341), Minnesota, USA Oct 17, 2007 no tastes of booze which was good nice dry hop finish too a bit flowery and earthen as well over all nice expample i felt would like to try again as only had small glass at ABR 07
