Commercial Description:
Belgian pale & pilsner malts w/ Styrian Golding for bittering and Saaz for aroma. Ginger predominates the spicing. Fermented in primary with Ommegang's house yeast, followed by secondary with Brettanomyces bruxellensis. Dry-hopped in secondary w/ a blend of hops; Tettnang being the stand-out. The flavor profile is very herbal with an earthy undertone (very fitting for a Belgian-style farmhouse ale). The dry finish and pronounced hop aromas hide the 8% abv very well. Dangerously drinkable for its strength and character.

Flaske: Meget lys øl med et fint lille skumhoved. Meget syrlig let bitter og frugtet. Drikbar men ikke mere.

15-May-2009 Bottle at Ølfestivalen. Very light with white head. Lovely smell with yeast and brett. Tripple-ish and fantastic.

I let this baby sit for almost a year. April 2008 batch. Well done! Pour was a clear gold with an incredibly thick fluffy white head (slightly over-carbonated?). The aroma was not too appealing for one who has never tried a brett beer before. Best way I can describe the aroma is skanky, yeasty, and (noble?) hoppy. However, everything in the brew seemed to play off of, compliment, or suppliment another characteristic. The ginger complimented the brett yeast I thought, and the dry finish from the hops gave it a particular drinkability that was wonderful. The more I drank, the more I enjoyed the somewhat "horsey" flavor.

Thanks to the l1br4r14n for sharing this one. Pours a cloudy yellow with a really nice frothy white head. Aroma is yeast bandaids, brett funk, citrus and some nice fruit. Smelled wonderful. Flavor was tart, but not overwhelmingly so. A bit of spice hiding in the background, some nice citrus notes and some great brett presence.

Pours a cloudy, dark yellow with a generous, frothy white head. Strong aroma of yeast, and a hint of apple. Taste is definitely sour, but evens out a bit in the end. Flavors include some yeast, lots of citrus fruit. Very enjoyable.

75cl bottle. Hazy gold-orange color with a big white head that recedes into a ring. The aroma has some lemon, melon, mustiness and light pepper. The flavor is dry with a refreshing citrus note, very light brett character, and light spicy hops. Medium-light with ample carbonation that dissipates somewhat quickly. Pretty nice, but definitely not worth the eleven bucks a bottle that it costs here, and not showing much brett character.
