hazy yellow, wispy white head, bits of lace,
light sweet malt aroma with a nice touch of leathery funk and floral hops,
sweet malt flavor is quickly balanced with the light earthy bret character, light bitterness, nice touch of lemony tartness, lasting bitter finish,

| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 1/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Feb 1, 2008 Dull pale, cloudy. The aroma is somewhat vague, dull yeastiness with accents that are likely brett but could be mistaken for phenols. The body is thin, and the alcohol is very apparent. There’s some fruitiness, lots of yeast (to the point of astringency)...and the finish is both muddled and dry. I’m going to cellar my other bottle cause this isn’t really all that shit hot right now....it goes nowhere and does nothing. fiulijn (7520), Como; Lausanne (CH); Malmö (SWE), Italy

Breadish aroma, poor, abit perfumy. Sweetish flavor, some mix of malt/cereals/cornish flavor, uninteresting, with a very light banana and vegetable touch. Not good. argo0 (7047), Washington DC, USA

Plastic and leather in the flavor, with citrusfruit and pineapple. Slightly perfumed. The brett really adds to the complexity of this beer. Emil (6074), Copenhagen, Denmark

Yeasty and more tripel than saison if you ask me. Good hops, nice spice very Belgian indeed with no real American character at all. A good Belgian style ale but nothing to go crazy about.
