smoosh (523), New Albany, Indiana, USA Oct 28, 2007 Bottle - pale and slightly cloudy yellow/gold with a white head. Not a ton of aroma, but some funky malt and maybe a touch of sourness. Flavor has malt and the herbal quality mention in the description and with maybe a touch of pepper at the end. A nice creamy palate and a very nice beer.
SCBrew (25), San Clemente, California, USA Sep 4, 2008 Pours a hazy gold with a dissolving white head. Definite farmhouse, horse hoof aroma, coupled with Saison spiciness.Flavor is balanced and spicey. I little tart fruitiness, possibly from the ginger. Medium bodied and very drinkable. punkrkr27 (347), Clawson, Michigan, USA Sep 2, 2008 Semi-hazy golden pour with a fizzy white head. Very acidic and sour with a dry, sweet, somewhat yeasty quality. Medium body with lots of carbonation. Really leans more towards a geuze than a delicate saison. bobaidan (307), Farmington, Connecticut, USA Aug 29, 2008 Pours golden with champagne like bubbles. Aroma is fruity with apple, citrus and bread. Mouthfeel is very lively with lots of carbonation. Flavor is drier than the nose would indicate. Citrus, spice and alcohol are the most up-fron with bread and some off, but not unpleasant flavors in the bakground. Another winner from Ommegang. tomthompson89 (1129), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Aug 27, 2008 hazy golden beer big foamy white head nose is sweet of fruits like pear and apple, some odd notes such as horse blanket as well. flavor is a nice malt character, slightly sweet, citrus bready notes , and a good bitter dryness. dkachur (771), Charlottesville, Virginia, USA Aug 27, 2008 C&C 750 from Wine Warehouse.
