COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Rare Vos is flemmish for "Sly Fox," and the name of one of Brussels’ great cafes. It has a sweetly fruity malt character and yeasty spiciness. A fine dose of yeast permits the beer to mature and mellow in the bottle.

Draft at Taproom No. 307 NYC. Pours a golden amber color with frothy head. Strong Belgian yeast aroma, hints of banana. Drinks very smooth with great balance of yeast, malt, and finishing hop bitterness flavors. Winner winner have this with a BBQ chicken dinner! ---IdealBrew "Good People Good Beer"

12oz bottle. Clear amber color, with some fine sediment suspended in the body. Nice, substantial foamy light khaki head. Very fine, soft carbonation. More of a dry texture. Some belgian-style yeast aromas, the typical caramel light fruit malts you’d expect. It’s pleasant, but light. Lightly sweet taste. Decent Belgian-style. But not really my thing. The texture is probably the most interesting part.

Beershine (4700) - The Sunshine State, Florida, USA - MAY 4, 2012
Draft at Lou's. Amber, scattered lace. Herbal but old world aroma, resinous, fresh. Wet balanced and drinkable, combining Biere du garde with saison qualities. Palate is soft with gentle carbo from draft, which is nice. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Pours a deep amber color. Fluffy off-white to tan head. Nice lacing and a good nose of cinnamon, sugary malts, fruit, and caramel. Crisp hop bitterness combines with caramel, bready malt, and spice in flavor, moderate carbonation. Malts linger in finish with flavor, but palate is balanced nicely with bitterness. Nice overall.

On tap. Huge head took forever to calm down. Nothing special about the aroma. Light orange color with a bit of haze to it, white head which took a long time to calm. Very smooth taste, bit of sweetness and a number of flavors. Went down easy, no bitterness. Overall, great beer.

Tap from brewery. Up front hints of caramel and cereal. Bitter finish. Big lacing and strong carbonation. Really nice.

NikkTwist (150) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 14, 2012
Bottle. Deep amber color with a bubbly white head that never left. Spicy. Yeasty. Some malt sweetness is present but balanced out. Enough hop bite to let you know it?s there but no one element defines this brew. Tastes like a hybrid of multiple Belgium styles with a bit more spice and hops. Smooth drinking but not bland. Well crafted but lacks a defining characteristic.

sulawang (211) - British Columbia, CANADA - APR 14, 2012
pours cloudy orange-brown with a nice decent frothy head, good retention and sticky lacing, many very active CO2 streams. Aromas of orange citrus and sweet malts on the nose. Creamy and crisp texture up front, mellow tangy tangerine citrus, 5/10-level sweetness, medium malts, hints of cinnamon, honey, cane sugar, and finishes mildly bitter and crisp. Medium complexity, medium depth, great transitions, good carry, good length, very good drinkability. A solid beer.
