Feb 4, 2009 Pours amber with a huge white head (first pour) and fair lacings. Aroma is dominated by yeast. Taste is Belgian yeast strain, sweet malts, hint of bitter hops. Has a bit of boiled ham in the aftertaste. Overall an interesting beer that I probably won’t try again.

Feb 1, 2009 Notes from Indy Winterfest.
Pours cloudy amber. Aroma is sweet and yeasty, and bread like. Flavor is like V8, yeast, and sweet malts. Mouthfeel is slightly thick. Overall a pretty good beer.

Jan 31, 2009 Mmmm I liked this one. Has a malty, almost like a wine scent. Nice hazy, deep gold color with a thick head. Has a nice and smooth malt/light hop flavor with yeasts present. Light carbonation. Aftertaste is as smooth as the entire experience from beginning to end. Overall, I am glad to have tried this one. This is a pleasure to have. If you anybody sees this in your liquor store, buy it, you won’t be let down.

Jan 29, 2009 750 ml bottle @ Pikkulintu, Helsinki. Amber color, off-white head. Floral aroma with spices. Sour berries and grapefruit in the flavor and some malts in the finish, which stops dead quite abruptly -- the beer is literally gone as soon as you swallow. Medium body, very high carbonation. The (lack of) finish kills the appeal for me.

Sweet fruity aroma, some hops, a touch of sharpness. Bready body, accentuated by the yeast. Buddy hoppy taste, and finish too. Very Belgian, and quite sophisticated.

Jan 24, 2009 Bottle, pours a clear, golden amber body with generous, fluffy, white head. Aroma of belgian malts, yeast, banana, and clove with a hint of citrus. Flavor of sweet malts and orange with hints of spices, hops, and banana. Light fruit finish. Palate is light for the style, but not watery. Slightly fizzy on the palate and soft. Finish is fairly clean and dry.

Jan 23, 2009 Pours hazy golden orange with thin white head that hangs around. Aroma is spicy, banana, yeast, and some citrus. Taste is pretty much the same with some added earthiness and caramel. Hops bitterness is appropriate at light to moderate. Nice and crisp with dry finish. Mouthfeel is very prickly. This is a pretty good brew.
