Commercial Description:
Rare Vos is flemmish for "Sly Fox," and the name of one of Brussels’ great cafes. It has a sweetly fruity malt character and yeasty spiciness. A fine dose of yeast permits the beer to mature and mellow in the bottle.

Bottled. Hazy amber coloured. Dense beige head. Aroma is yeasty and citric. Fruits and spice are notable. Flavour is fruits and spiced. Has a distinct yeasty touch and some citric notes are there. Is medium bodied. A bit watery and dry. Fruity and sweet end. Is quite crisp, but miss some debth and lenght in the flavour.

750ml bottle from BevMo. Ommegang Rare Vos pours cloudy amber with a lasting, dense and creamy beige head. The aroma is mildly sweet, malty and fruity with a notes caramel and oak. The flavor is mellow with a fruity character and an elusive spiciness. Nothing is distinctive or really jumps out. This beer is medium-bodied and smooth on the palate.

Sweet malty aroma with some fruitiness like overripe pears. Not too sweet or bitter. Spicy but in an understated way with some breadiness and light orange notes.

Pours a reddish amber color with small head which retains through out. Aroma of malt and fruit. Taste is fruity and maybe some alcohol warmth. Could drink this all night.

Pours a hazy amber color with a rather flat miniature head. Definitely a nice crisp Belgian with sweet malts coupled with a nice crisp finish. This is a nice refreshing beer.
