COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Rare Vos is flemmish for "Sly Fox," and the name of one of Brussels’ great cafes. It has a sweetly fruity malt character and yeasty spiciness. A fine dose of yeast permits the beer to mature and mellow in the bottle.

Pours a nice amber with thin to no head. Pleasant flavor, with some sweet malt and spice. Kind of a bitter bite to the finish. Fairly high carbonation. Not a bad beer, but nothing too special either.

Pours amber with a fizzy off-white head. Soft aroma of bread, belgian yeast and a bit of apple. Flavor is more of the same with a strong spicy presence. Huge carbonation. Enjoyable but not exciting.

Pours a faint amber with reddish hue, slight haze. A thick white head that recedes almost immediately. Nose is sweet, hints of caramel and citrus...with slight pepper spice. Flavor is of orange peel, banana and bread. Hints of bubble gum and cracked pepper. Light body with moderate carbonation, that adds a little tooth. Finish is sharp but not lingering. Solid.

bottle, pours hazy blood orange with a medium off white head. Strong apple and orange aroma. Extremely sweet malt with a touch of sour yeast esters and little else. Easy to forget.

Bottle. Pours a hazy copper color with an off-white head. Aroma is sweet with a hint of spice. The flavor mirrors the aroma. Upfront it is sweet and fruity with a spicy finish. Pretty carbonated. Overall not bad at all.

Bottle from Whole Foods Los Altos. Meh, this didn’t really do it for me. Not bad, but pretty standard. Pours a hazy orangish-golden color with a small but well-retained white head. Aroma is pale malt, Belgian yeast, spices, and light fruits. Flavor is more of the same, slightly yeasty and fruity with apple and apricot. Finish is somewhat dry, body is medium, and carbonation is fairly high. Overall this is a good beer, but nothing you haven’t seen before.

~Aroma of Yeast, spice, caramel malts, and fruits, apricots. Yeast dominates ~Pours a cloudy orange with small creamy white head. ~Flavor of yeast, sweet malts, fruit, again apricot, slight hoppy spice bitterness. Flavors blend well together. ~Frothy feel. Turns almost foamy when hits mouth. Light medium body. High carbonation. Sweet and spicy finish. Rather dry and easy to digest. ~Great Belgian ale. Enjoyable and easy to drink. Delicious taste and appealing aroma.
