Commercial Description:
Rare Vos is flemmish for "Sly Fox," and the name of one of Brussels’ great cafes. It has a sweetly fruity malt character and yeasty spiciness. A fine dose of yeast permits the beer to mature and mellow in the bottle.

bottle. pours a cloudy amber color with a generous tan head. smells of oranges, cookie, yeast, and light spice. taste is biscuit and citrus. amazing mouthfeel, full but not heavy. very drinkable. slightly bitter hoppy finish. for a fairly cheap American interpretation of a Belgian style it is quite amazing.

I thought i rated this a while back, i guess i forgot. I don’t remember the specifics but it pours a mean head and has a fruity nose. Taste is good - somewhat spicey and malty. Will rerate soon. Rerate - May 1. Wonderful Belgian style amber... unique in its style and god damn delicious. Extremely drinkable.

Amber with thin off-white head. Aroma of caramel, yeast and spice. Tastes of sweet malt, caramel, yeast and mixed fruit with a dry finish.

Bottle. Pours a hazy amber/copper color with a two-finger off-white head that quickly fades. Aroma of yeast, esters, caramel, and apricots. Flavor is initially mild with yeast upfront, fading to sweet maltiness and a slight hoppy bitter/tangy finish. Smooth and very drinkable.

Pours a hazy orange / yellow color. Nice puffy head. The yeast is easily noticed by the nose. Pretty easy drink overall, I didn’t feel the 6.5% in the slightest bit.

A very easy drinking beer. Pours a relatively light amber color with a generous off white head and a bit of lacing. It really does have a great look to it. Aroma was faint but pleasant - that of subtle hops with a sweet spiciness to it. There’s not a ton of flavor but it’s good for the summer. Somewhat spicy, with floral notes, a mild bitter hop bite and some Belgian style yeast. Very smooth and a pretty good mix of flavors.
