Commercial Description:
Rare Vos is flemmish for "Sly Fox," and the name of one of Brussels’ great cafes. It has a sweetly fruity malt character and yeasty spiciness. A fine dose of yeast permits the beer to mature and mellow in the bottle.

Pours a hazy amber with off white head. Aromas of dough, fruits and spices. Flavor starts slighlt sweet and fruity and finishes with a light bitterness. Medium body with creamy texture and soft carbonation. Easy drinking and pleasant but nothing outstanding.

Bottled. Semi clear and amber coloured with a rather large white head. Quite yeasty with notes of spices, vanilla, grapefruit and has a somewhat sweet and a bit sticky mouthfeel.

Bottled at Järnet Bar, Stockholm. Pours out in a hazy amber colour with a rich white lasting white foam. Well-balanced malty and yeasty aroma of all-spice, cookies, white bread, caramel and banana in the aroma. Medium-bodied with a cotton-like malty flavour of nuts, cookies, vanilla and crystallized banana. Long balanced finish, leaning to the malty spectrum of yeast, mild spices and dried oranges with subtle grassy hops. Nice and charming.

Pours a cloudy amber red with a nice foamy head that lingers for a long time. It has a very light bready and spice aroma. The beer had just enough spice in the taste to make it interesting, with a slightly sweet, caramel malt body and a light hop bite at the end. At 6.5% ABV it’s quite drinkable. Overall a very easy drinking beer.

Light amber color with a slight malty aroma. Great head and lacing with lots of carbonation, tons of large bubbles float rapidly to the surface giving it a nice mouthfeel. Flavor is well balanced with a spicy character. The end of the bottle can be a bit too yeasty.

Pours a hazy amber with a thick off-white head. Not much aroma...just some malt and yeast and maybe ahint of spiciness. Loads of carbonation on the palate. The taste is complex with some peppery spiciness and fruity sweetness. Finishes clean except for that bit ’o’ spice. Interesting and tasty beer.
