COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Rare Vos is flemmish for "Sly Fox," and the name of one of Brussels’ great cafes. It has a sweetly fruity malt character and yeasty spiciness. A fine dose of yeast permits the beer to mature and mellow in the bottle.

Pours a cloudy apple juice-like color with a medium off-white frothy head which fades slowly leaving lots of webbed lacing. Aroma is clove, banana, light citrus, and Belgian spice. Taste is much the same. Your typical Belgian.

Obnoxious excessive foaming when you pour it... welcome to belgians! Holds a sub 1-inch head for 4 minutes at least. Still has good carbonation when all the fuss settles down. It comes in one of those annoying bottles that drips on the pour no matter what you do. The aroma is spicy with cinnamon, allspice and yeast smells. Color is slightly cloudy amber. The taste actually starts off bland, and quickly changes to a malt dominated spicecake flavor. The consistency begins watery and quickly fizzes by the time it reaches the back of the tongue. Finish tastes like apple juice and orange peel with a little sweet spice.

12oz bottle. Pours light amber/orange with a big off-white head that retains well. Lots of lacing. Aroma is fruity and yeasty. Flavor is the same, but more subdued. Finish is very dry, almost watery and a bit soapy.
