COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Rare Vos is flemmish for "Sly Fox," and the name of one of Brussels’ great cafes. It has a sweetly fruity malt character and yeasty spiciness. A fine dose of yeast permits the beer to mature and mellow in the bottle.

Nice looking dark amber pour in a pint glass. Spicy-malt is the appropriate description. A solid Belgian for sure.

Malt and banana on the nose. A full rich body with burnt marmalade notes. Dry finish with spice and a hint of banana. Very good but not outstanding.

Pours a hazy/cloudy amber with a bright white foamy head. Aromas of yeast and spice. Spicy/sparkly attack which mellows to a very sweet malty and fruity finish, very little aftertaste.

A very tasty beer, was happy I got to taste it at GABF. It reminded us of a sour beer in some respects because of the spicy/fruitiness. Almost like a wine finish. Would definitely have this again.

Bottle. NIce amber with subtle lacing head. Generally, sweet to taste, sort of a fruity sweetness. Well balanced...probably a more refreshing beer on tap, but not a bad way to spend a fall afternoon in the bottle. Aroma was light with sweet notes and some earthiness.

330ml bottle from Mybrewerytap

Pours orange with a white head. Aroma has notes of floral notes, fruits, apricose and spices. Taste is quite fruity and spicy with floral notes and apricose. Slightly sticky and sweet finish. Okay, quite fruity Belgian styled ale.

355 ml bottle.
Pours a slightly hazy orange colour with a small foamy head on the edges. Aroma of apricot, lemon and some spices. Flavour of sweet caramel malts, apricot, lemon, spices and some toffee. Medium bodied, quite thick mouthfeel and a finish of sweet fruits, spices and some lemon. Nice and tasty.

Bottle from Stirchley Wines, Birmingham. Copper coloured pour with an off white head. Yeasty nose with notes of fruit and spice. Over carbonated. Sweet flavour with more malts and a slight fruitiness. Nothing in the finish.. I really don’t see the point in importing such average beers as this.
