keepersj12 (774), Sicklerville, New Jersey, USA Jul 3, 2007 Very good ale. Nice and fruity aroma. Taste is slightly sweet. Looks good, tastes good. Excellent for a summer evening. thenick (742), North Bellmore, New York, USA Jul 3, 2007 Pours a nice, golden red color with an off-white head. Aroma is spicy, and taste is very smooth with a nice hint of spices and fruits such as plum. Good, solid beer. TheBeerOrg (1563), Kentucky, USA Jul 3, 2007 Pours dark reddish amber with a thin, mostly maintained light tan head. Aroma of phenolic apple and spice, with notes of toffee plums and dates. Taste is sweet and yeasty with prominent phenols creating notes of clove. Notes of plum, spice, and gingerbread. Mouthfeel is full bodied, slightly sticky with lively carbonation. Improving this beer would require better attenuation and more esters. jujubeast6000 (772), Houston, Texas, USA Jul 2, 2007 (750mL bottle): Pours a cloudy brown color, small whitish head, fizzy but diminishing very quickly. Very floral light sweet aroma. Sweet fizzy taste, clean aftertaste. Floral taste, some acid. Warming up....a little more even taste, not acidic. Glazed9884 (207), USA Jul 1, 2007 xxx such a great brewery, pretty much everything they make is great, a good brew here nearbeer (1833), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA Jun 30, 2007 Updated: Nov 5, 2009Bottle. Cloudy amber with a large, lasting head. Aroma is spice, honey and fruity bubblegum. Taste is Wyeast Belgian Wit yeast, coriander, bitter orange peel and maybe some nutmeg. Palate is watery, light-medium bodied, flat and dry. Good beer, but there are many better Belgian Ales. Not real complex, tastes more like a brown-colored, hop-dry Wit. JMFG (1514), Florida, USA Jun 21, 2007 Cloudy dark amber color with a thick white head. Vaguely sweet apricot and yeast aroma. Yeast and fruit in the taste too, but a healthy malt presence balances everything out. A well-balanced brew, but nothing real exciting. tagz (334), USA Jun 11, 2007 (12 oz. bottle) pours a cloudy golden orange with a thick foamy head. this is what a beer should look like. beautiful. sweet light yeast aroma that gives the flavor a bread like quality. perfect amount of malt and bitter hops to balance it out. this is a complex but well balanced beer. nice crisp finish. the only downside was a slight boosey quality halfway into the glass. otherwise, an excellent beer.
