Commercial Description:
Rare Vos is flemmish for "Sly Fox," and the name of one of Brussels’ great cafes. It has a sweetly fruity malt character and yeasty spiciness. A fine dose of yeast permits the beer to mature and mellow in the bottle.

Great pale amber color, and a foamy white head that leaves an incredible lacing. Strong sweet fruity aroma with pepper notes.Fruit is overpowering, inviting. Great body, nice peppery warmth, not overwelming, great fruity flavor, good good good.

Aroma: Very spicy aroma, peppery with some fruit. Appearance: Light beige head, huge upon pouring. Clear, amber with reddish hue. Attractive. Flavor: Some bubblegum esters with a strong spicy backdrop. No hop flavor, but a firm malty backbone is present. Palate: Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Overall: Easy-quaffing beer, no frills, but solid nonetheless.

Ginger Man, NYC. Funny Americans pronounce this beer way different than Dutch and Flemish people do, it took me quite some time before people understood what i wanted. But nevermind. Golden/orange coloured, small head. Fruity and refreshing, some bubblegum. Indeed a bit odd, as the name suggests (’rare’ means odd), but pretty nice.

This beer pours a dark amber color with a creamy, bubbly head. The foam really sticks to the glass as you drink. There was a little sediment floating around in the beer. Fruity, malty smell. It tasted very sweet with a great malty and tart finish. This is a good effort from Ommegang. I am going to have to stop in for a visit to the brewery the next time that I am up at the hall of fame.

Nearly clear dark pink with a noisy head. Spicy, fruity aroma with raspberry and black pepper. Clean and dry, crisp on the palate, perhaps a little thin. LIghtly fruity and spicy. Though this beer may be aged it seems to me that it would be best fresh and on draught.

Bottle. Pours copper in color with a huge creamy off-white head that leaves huge chunks of lacing. Sweet aroma of fruits and light alcohol. Great mix of malts, spices, and fruits in the flavor. Sweet throughout and a medium body. A nice one to have around!

Cloudy orange-amber color with a big foamy head. Yeasty & fruit filled aroma. Taste is sweet with a nice mix of spices and darker-sweet fruits. Overall pretty good.

Delicious Belgian Ale in the style is supposed to be. Rich and golden, strong and flavorful. If you’re looking for an ale that takes a flavor like Yuengling and runs with it, this is a good beer!
