alobar (1006), Harleysville, Pennsylvania, USA Nov 19, 2006 Pours a yellowish-orange color with a thin white head. Aroma comes from spices, bread, and fruit. Taste is well-balanced with hops, fruit, malts, and spices. SudsMcDuff (1691), was CapeTown,SA-now Houston, Texas, USA Nov 15, 2006 Pours a Honey Orange...Big but medium sized head after a cool down...fruity cream slight yeast marmalade cardboard smell...smooth slight cream mouth....nice bitters.....highly drinkable, a beginners belgian ale..subtle and overall not to shabby really...thank U(t) ms.coop..found the bottle under there bbq pit months later..good times. Ibrew2or3 (2714), Safety Harbor, Florida, USA Nov 8, 2006 Clear copper color with off white head. The aroma is spicy and slightly fruity and is a bit on the mild side. Flavor starts off sweet from sugars or malt then turns a bit fruity (like grapes maybe) then some spiciness makes for a crisp mid flavor note. I also get some lemon tartness that begins about midway and proceeds to the finish where it’s joined by a sweet brown sugar flavor. TampaBeer (181), Tampa, Florida, USA Nov 3, 2006 Nice belgian ale flavors - spice, apple. Nice palate. This is an enjoyable, though not spectacular brew. jeffdog22 (23), lakeland, Florida, USA Nov 2, 2006 the independent bar...st pete...very affordable for such a terrific beer...balanced spicey and sour...slightly sweet, oakey, peppery...amber color. vyvvy (2023), Hazelwood, Missouri, USA Oct 27, 2006 Ommegang gets a huge thumbs up for have the most affordable authentic tasting Belgium line available in the US. This poured lightly hazy amber with a fizzy light tan head. The aroma is earthy with fruity and yeasty traits. There is some noticeable apricot and some sourness and richness. Medium / full body that is crisp with semi-sharp carbonation that is very pleasing. Taste starts sourt and tart with some yeasty earthiness and some sour fruits and spice. The finish has more spice with a dry crisp mouthfeel. It tastes like there may be some brett in the mix. A nice enjoyable dry Belgium ale. BeerInMyBlood (3), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA does not count Oct 20, 2006 One of my favorite beers. I begged my local beer & wine shop to start carrying it. You can say that it is not on par with "true" Belgian Ales, but it has nice flavor, aroma and color and is a pleasure to drink when you want the Belgian flavor with getting knocked over the head with it. BenDover (125), Texas, USA Oct 18, 2006 Pours a cloudy deep orange, very thick, dense foam. Yeasty aroma. Flavor is bitter, a bit fruity, but seems like something is missing. Good, but not great.
