COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Rare Vos is flemmish for "Sly Fox," and the name of one of Brusselsí great cafes. It has a sweetly fruity malt character and yeasty spiciness. A fine dose of yeast permits the beer to mature and mellow in the bottle.

Pours a hazy, bright golden with a big solid, although rather short lived, white head. Aroma has wheat and a good amount of spice, along with apple and banana. It is quite Belgian. The taste still contains a lot of spices. Lots of fruity impressions as well, I find a good amount of orange and lemon, while still finding apple and banana elements underneath. Aftertaste is orange and lemon. Medium in body, with a bubbly texture. There is a lot fizzy carbonation here, similar to that of champagne. I though this was good, although I wouldnít call it great.

Medium bodied light amber-gold color. Tastes of caramel, yeast, light hops....like the typical Belgian Ale. Being from NY and all, may be a little "Americanized" if that makes any sense. Iíve only had maybe a few REAL Belgianís imported from Europe, so hard to tell the true comparison. A good beer that isnít super-expensive. I would buy again if it was the best thing available to me, or if just in the mood for a Belgian without paying $8-$10 a bottle. Also tried this in the 750ml....might have been slightly better than the 12oz.

Interesting mix. This mix is pretty good with malts and hops to have a well balanced product.

Pours a light copper with a very small white head. Aroma of sweet malts, spice, citrus and yeast. Taste is smooth-- yeasty, spicy and fruity. Body has lots of sediment and a nice amount of carbonation.

Wow, this was one of the greatest head appearances Iíve ever seen - super massive, more-than-a-finger length head that stays around for a good bit. Not much lacing, though. Cloudy orange color. Aroma of red fruit, lemon, spice, and yeast. Flavor is red fruit, bread, spice, and lemon tang. Very, very nice blend and balance. Super tasty. Greatly exceeded my expectations! Fantastic beer.

Good color, nice head. Smooth but I don't like the aftertaste. Not my favorite. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Sweet yeast aroma and basement aromas. Lively carbonation with sweet tasting yeast. Moderately bitter on the palate.

12 oz bottle. Pours an unfiltered bright orange with a fluffy white top. Taste of spice, fruity, yeasty, alcohol, with a slightly bitter finish. High carbonation, medium body.

The taste of yeast and citrus. The aroma is quite so empty. Perhaps easier citrus. OK bitterness which fills the upper part of the mouth briefly. Poor beer. Follow me @ Kung av Ųl @ Facebook for more pictures and ratings.

On tap at White Oak, Manhattan. Pours amber color, big eggshell fluffy head. Aroma is lots of Belgian esters and spices. Slight fruity character as well. Flavor is malty, sweet fruits, cherry, slight citrus hop character, lemon peel. Really nice actually.

Pours with a massive bubbly head which can overcome the glass if not careful. Luscious Amber color with a sweet aroma. Light, sweet notes prevail on the palette making this ideal for hot weather. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
