4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 18/20
Poured from a bottle into a pint glass. Extremely floral nose, with lots of grassy and fresh-hop smells. Very lively. Slightly hazy orange appearance with a pillowy white head. Sweet flavors of candi sugar and grass, with a lively carbonation. This is undoubtedly a Belgian-style beer, and a very true representation. Really nice.

On tap at the Ginger Man. Unassuming appearance, toffee nose, leads into gooey caramel and toffee taste with hints of Belgian yeast. Finishes fast, but this ones all about the flavor. Sly, indeed.

Draft. Pours murky burnt orange with frothy white head that lingers. Sweet spicy aroma that gives away its wheat roots. Heavy carbonation. It's a wheat beer - a style I have no interest in.

12 oz. bottle. Pours a very hazy amber/orange color with an off-white thick pillow head. Aroma is of sourness, yeast, some fruit and spiciness. Medium body, lots of carbonation on the tongue. Taste has yeast, fruit, malt and sweetness - very interesting. Finish is slightly sour and just a touch dry. Excellent!

Ommegang never ceases to amaze. Rare Vos pours a beautiful orange-gold and tastes like every other amber ale should taste. It’s not a beer that you’ll shed a tear over, but it stands as what should be the beer all other beers model themselves after.
