Ommegang Rare Vos

An unclear dark orange beer with no head. The aroma is primarily yeaste, but also contains notes of malt and oranges, while the flavor primarily is sweet with notes of yeast.

(Bottle 35,5 cl) Slightly hazy amber golden with a creamy, off-white head leaving a broad curtain of laces. Aroma of yeast and burned caramel. Medium body with lightly sweet caramel and burned sugar - and then a distinct yeastiness. Rather tart without much bitterness. 191206

Amber coloured. Yeasty, crispy, malty, dry, balanced. Nice bitterness.

75 cL bottle. Pours slight cloudy orange with a lacing white head. Spiced and orange fruity aroma. Flavour is mild spiced and with a yeasty mellow malt base. Ends with a lingering spice and yeast note.

Bottle. 75cl. Clear medium orange color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, fruity - apricot - peach, moderate hoppy, orange. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. (180408)

Bottled. Amber colour with mediumsized creamy white head. Aroma is yeast, fruits and sweet malts. Flavour is fruity, mildly spicy, sweet malty as well as yeasty. Wellbalanced and well made, but not that exciting.

Bottle. Clear golden coloured with a white head. Sweet aroma of fruits and spices. Fruity flavour with notes of spices, yeast and wood. Dry yeasty finish.

Light amber haziness; aroma of peaches, pears, yeast, allspice, vienna malts; palate shows pepper, pears, balanced nuances of vienna malt and herbal hop.
