jjuf1853 (200), Land O Lakes, Florida, USA Apr 30, 2008 Bottle pours a cloudy honey amber color with a billowing white head. Aroma of malt, dried fruit, and spices. Nice flavor that is sweet and yeasty. Smooth and enjoyable.
joeyplush (47), Boothwyn, Pennsylvania, USA Sep 4, 2008 Pours a dark copper color with a thick, off-white head and lots of carbonation. Aroma has hints of yeast and spice, and slight fruitiness. Taste is very carbonated, with light fruitiness (hints of apple) and also a bit of spice. A nice belgian, and not too heavy on the alcohol content. mdm46410 (560), Griffith, Indiana, USA Sep 2, 2008 Poured from a 750ml caged and corked bottle and served in a tulip. This beer poured a hazy amber with a one-finger thick head of lasting, tight beige foam. A nice coat of lacing was left around the glass. The aroma of the beer was made up of spicy yeast, sugary caramel, and some light orange peel. The flavor consisted of lightly bitter orange peel, bready yeast, and caramelized sugar. The mouthfeel was medium-bodied with an ample amount crisp, assertive carbonation. Not overly complex, but quite tasty and drinkable. Another nice brew from Ommegang. MartiniFiend (95), Mount Horeb, Wisconsin, USA Aug 31, 2008 Bottle. Amber in color with a large foamy head. Aroma is of fruits and yeast. Smooth and creamy mouth feel. Flavor starts out a sweet malty mix with a spice middle and a yeast finish. Reminds me of a weiss beer on tap. Indulgence (83), Ajo, Arizona, USA Aug 30, 2008 Another wonderful brew from Ommegang... nice dark amber body, some yeast floaters, large voluminous head settles down to a finger head, always bubbly like fine champagne, flavors aren’t as defined as I’d like, but nice candied apricots and light color fruits, bready, and some soury spicing... palate is light, full bodied and tingling... I’ll take one of these anytime. AndrewKScott (340), Lemont, Illinois, USA Aug 30, 2008 Amber pour with white head. Fruity, yeasty, spicey aroma. Flavor is a bit fruity, a bit yeasty, yet pretty incredible. A bit of a sour in the finish. This beer is excellent.
