Rare Vos is flemmish for "Sly Fox," and the name of one of Brussels’ great cafes. It has a sweetly fruity malt character and yeasty spiciness. A fine dose of yeast permits the beer to mature and mellow in the bottle.

UPDATED: MAR 25, 2013 750ml Bottle. The pour was a hazy dark amber with a large (2-3 finger) off-white creamy head that was mostly lasting and had good lacing. The aroma was of straw malts, citrus hops and an earthy Belgian yeast with notes of banana, caramel, coriander and dark fruit (raisons and prunes). The taste was lightly bitter with a hint of fruit and spices in the beginning with the finish being a tad bitter with a slight sweet malty flavor and a touch of caramel, maybe honey and very light citrus peel bitterness at the end. Flavor lasted an average time with a lightly sweet fruitiness pretty much left to lying on the taste buds after all else faded away. Mouthfeel was medium in body and creamy in texture with a nice soft carbonation. Overall I thought this beer was exquisitely tasty and quite well balanced, but everything this brewer puts out seems to be that way... www.facebook.com/KAJIIsBeerReviews

Pours a cloudy amber color, with ample whitish-tan head. Aroma of yeast and malts. Tastes like a decent Belgian beer. Notes of orange and sugars. Thumbs up.

Poured from a 12 OZ bottle into a pint glass. The appearance is a bright orange with a large off white head. Thea aroma is full of fruit and yeast and is very nice. The taste is an excellent blend of orange, floral hops and some yeast. Overall, this is an outstanding beer.

Nice and creamy head. Good Amber with slight haze. Fruity over taste with a body that isn't over rich and balanced away from the hoppy. Slight zesty aroma. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Clear amber color, big tan lasting, lacing retaining foam head. Spicy aroma, I think it’s pepper. Return in taste that spicy tick, malty. Different indeed (raar). (Davenport 201510)

From the bottled poured a amber brew with a thick frothy head. Loads of malty aroma and flavor greatly over balancing the hops. Just what you would expect from a Belgian

Bottle (at least a couple of years old). Caramel with ample cream head and decent lacing. Smells like boozy raisin bread in a good way. Tastes a little raisiny plus sour and floral and malty. A little hot but not too much.
