COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Scythe & Sickle Harvest Ale is brewed with barley, wheat, oats and rye. Scythe and sickle is a seasonal brew that celebrates the richness of the grain harvest. Brewed with barley, wheat, oats and – in a nod to traditional upstate New York grains – rye, this fine ale is malty and creamy on the palate. The flavors of the grains and earth shine through. Enjoy the refreshment of the season and joys of fine brewing.

Laura doesn’t hate it, slightly hoppier but basically just as lame as rare vos. it is pretty much the same beer, pulling a rogue stunt here

Pours a clear copper color with a tan two finger foamy head with some lacing. On the nose its a good balance of sweet malt, spicy yeasty and touches of earthy biscuit notes. On the palate it is alot of the same with touches of caramel, bread, spicy rye, clove...all the elements are balanced very nicely to produce a grainy full flavored medium bodied ale perfect for a autumn day !

Malty and smooth taste. Aroma and appearance is average. Reminds me of fall. Pretty good one.

Bottle. Pours a clear amber with a white head that dissipates slowly to the edges and laces slightly. Aroma has a note of earthy grains with an underlying note of a bit of rye and smoke. Flavor has a bit of a rye and a hint of smoke backed mostly by earthy grains that have a bit of sweetness to them.

Draft at Mekong. Medium hazy copper, decent head. Aroma is faintly grainy, hint of spice. Flavor is caramel accented grains, light citrus, and an undefined, mildly Belgian spice flavor, presumably from whatever yeast strain was used. Nice, but rather unremarkable. A touch sweet.

Muddy bet color. Aroma has a but of spice and yeast along with malty goodness. Medium, almost chewy body. Flavor has rustic notes, yeast, spicing, sweet malts, biscuit. It's a Good one.

Draft at Pony bar with Minh and Ali. Pours an amber body with light off white lacing. Aroma is grain, alcohol, rye, and sweet fruit malts. Mouthfeel is carbonated and thin with notes of booze straight up front, lighter notes of grains, rye, boozy fruit, bitter alcohol burn in the finish. Not a fan of this one, personally.

Just fine for an amber, but nothing I am going to seek out again. Pretty middle of the road.
