3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Amber ale with a great malt and spice nose. Well balanced bitterness that lets a judicious use of rye come through.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pour on tap, hazy orange-amber pour with white head, aroma brought notes of earth, red fruit, some spice, rye notes into a hint of lemon, touch of toasted bread, caramel into a hint of vanilla. Taste was a mix of vanilla, grass, bread into some toast, red fruit, dough, some slight rye comes through, finishing sweet and dry.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours a very hazy dark orange/brown color with a great head retention. Aroma is hop, rye, biscuit, spice, caramel, fruit, citrus. Taste is malty, rye, biscuit, hops, spice, and caramel with less sweetness than the nose carried. Awesome beer, definitely grain-centric like they were aiming for, love the rye throughout adding spice.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
pours hazy if not cloudy golden orange with a very nice off-white head, good retention and lacing. spicy and peppery maltiness, chewy and salty caramel, rye pepperiness, acidulated wheat and other grains - no husks per say, some fruitiness - citrus but also strawberries, light earthy notes, herbs and spices - miscellaneous, average carbonation - healthy, light body - oily; assertive woodsy-grassy-spicy-citrusy finish. nice multigrain loaf bread with a dry caramel spread. not really my cup of tea, but again ommegang does it: it is craftfully brewed.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Light brown pour with red highlights, abundant fluffy tan head. Nose is grassy hops and stale beer and that dense whole-grain German bread. The flavor brings a lot of the earthy bitter-yeast Ommegang house character that I just have a hard time getting in to. Here it doesn’t blend particularly well with warm sweet malts. Notable rye spiciness. It’s not difficult to finish, but nor is it worth seeking out.

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours orange-brown in color with a super thick off white head. Aroma is wheat, light grains and syrup. Taste very pleasant and mild grains with a little faint astringency in the mid and not much finish. I like it, but it’s lacking in complexity. No hop bitterness to speak of - just very light malts.

3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
On tap at the Flying Saucer Garland. Poured a clear golden amber with a white top. Taste of wheat, oats, earth, and rye. Medium carbonation, medium body. Not too shabby
