COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A BELGIAN LOVE AFFAIR Ommegang Seduction is lovingly brewed with six dark malts. Chocolatier Callebut provides the chocolate, while Liefmans brings the cherries. This international romance is consumated with a full body, alluring aromas and flavors of Belgian chocolate, and tart cherries. Seduction is an ale to be lovingly embraced. Beautiful, rich and smooth, roasty and malty throughout, Seduction offers balanced chocolate-cherry notes, a bit of caramel sweetness, and a long, slow finish. Seduction is welcoming and warm-hearted, gently hopped and harbors no bitterness, leaving only a lingering glow.

Pours a dark brown color with a huge tan head. The aroma is full of cocoa, with a hint of dark fruit thrown in. The flavor is similar. I get a lot of chocolate and roasted malt, with a bit of cherry thrown in. The beer is fairly sweet overall. Medium mouthfeel and prickly carbonation.

Froma 75 cl bottle shared at home. Pours nearly black with a tan head. Aromas of toasted malt and chocolate. Notes of tart cherries and caramel compliment the chocolate flavors. Thick, evervescent and luscious mouthfeel. Slightly bitter and tart finish.

Deep dark copper mahogany with a coffee ice cream colored head, ok lacing. Aroma is of a Belgian stout. Yeasty semi sweet dark chocolate. The cherries are far in the background. Generally restrained. Cherry is magnitudes more forward in the flavor but doesn’t reach tart. The dark chocolate comes back in for the length of the pleasantly fading aftertaste. Fleeting peppermint patty. Zero bitter. Full bodied mouthfeel.

Appearance: Pours dark brown with a tight tan cap of head.

Aroma: Dark chocolate, raspberry, spicy Belgian yeast.

Taste: Toasty and chocolate malts, slight wine/ tart fruit note. Finishes spicy and dry.

Mouthfeel: High lively carbonation. Full bodied.

Overall: Very tasty, perfectly balanced, and pretty accurately described by the brewer.

Pours with moderate viscosity. Very dark with a thin tan head. The nose is dominated by the signature of Belgian yeast but there are notes of chocolate and roastiness as well. On the palate there is significant milk chocolate sweetness balanced by roasted astringency and the zest of the Belgian yeast. Pretty tasty.

This corked and caged bottled brew from a bottle shop poured a very large sized head of foamy with a frothy top finely sized light brown colored bubbles that were and left behind a no visible carbonation semi-opaque dark brown colored body. The aroma was malty and cocoa. The flat mouth feel was weakly tingly at the start and at the finish with a mellow hoppy aftertaste. The nice flavor contained notes of mild hops cocoa and malt. A decent one that I would consider drinking again. Would be great with chocolate cake!

On draft at OHSO. Pours a dark brown with espresso head. Aroma is like cherry, chocolate and some coffee. Taste is semit sweet and a bit tart. Some roastiness is there also. Finish is pleasantly bitter. Not bad, but one is more than enough.
