A BELGIAN LOVE AFFAIR Ommegang Seduction is lovingly brewed with six dark malts. Chocolatier Callebut provides the chocolate, while Liefmans brings the cherries. This international romance is consumated with a full body, alluring aromas and flavors of Belgian chocolate, and tart cherries. Seduction is an ale to be lovingly embraced. Beautiful, rich and smooth, roasty and malty throughout, Seduction offers balanced chocolate-cherry notes, a bit of caramel sweetness, and a long, slow finish. Seduction is welcoming and warm-hearted, gently hopped and harbors no bitterness, leaving only a lingering glow.

(draft @ Tap and Mallet - Rochester, NY) Deep brown pour with a puffy tan head. Light chocolate aroma with some very subtle fruit hints. Lots of roasted malts. Flavor is mainly chocolate and roasted malts with a mild sweetness at the finish. Rather creamy. Didn’t know there was any fruit in there until I read it honestly.

Draft at Jerry’s. Black with decent, creamy, tan head / Mild nose of milk chocolate, cherries, and roast barley / Medium body, creamy, a tad watery, with good balance and dry finish / Mellow, muted, flavors of chocolate, cream, caramel, and cherries / Pleasant enough, but somewhat gimmicky.

750ml Bottle: Aroma of malt, chocolate, Belgian yeast, slight cherries, and roasting. Poured pitch black in color with a large, creamy, dense, tan/brown head that diminished but lasted throughout. Opaque. Flavor is light to medium sweet. Tastes of malt, chocolate, roasting, light cherry, and Belgian yeast. Medium body. Slick, then lightly chalky, slightly dry texture. Soft to average carbonation. Malt, roast, light cherry, chocolate, and Belgian yeast finish is lightly sweet and lightly dry. 6.8%ABV is completely hidden throughout.

Slight coffee aroma, frothy tan head.. Dissipates quickly. Nice and sweet not as much chocolate or cherry as I would have thought. Easy drinker ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap at the Peekskill Brewery. Pours brown with a dense medium sized beige head. Chocolate, light fruit, roast on the nose. Medium bodied, chocolate, roast. Cocoa, more roast and dusty cocoa. Velvety smooth, very light chocolate covered cherry flavors on the finish before picking up a faint banana yeast note. Very good, but a touch disappointing. Was expecting a little more.

UPDATED: FEB 6, 2012 Sampled on draft at 3R6P this beer poured a black color with a large fluffy tan head that lingered and left great lacing. The aroma was toasty malts, chocolate syrup and malted milk. The flavor was bitter with a light floral hop presence up front followed by cocoa, vanilla and toasty malts. The finish was long and toasty with malted milk, cocoa and floral hops lingering. Full bodied and creamy. Nice.

Bottle. Pours deep, dark brown/black with rich tan head. Aroma of dark roasted grain, bright cherry, hints of farmhouse and baking cocoa. Flavor is much the same. Mouthfeel is very silky smooth, medium-heavy body, very soft with high, fizzy carbonation. Overall, is an interesting, tasty brew with an incredible mouthfeel. Enjoyed!
