3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
750 mL bottle. Pours black with a large, tan head. The aroma is coffee, caramel, and a little fruity esters. The flavor is sweet and very bitter. The palate is medium to heavy, sticky, and astringent. Overall, this was too bitter, and not very complex.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Tallahassee, Fl - New Leaf Market - 750 ml cage corked bottle. Pours a black as coal with a thick khaki colored head that leaves plenty of lacing. Very aromatic with plenty of roasted notes, some freshly roasted coffee beans and some strong licorice. Flavor is delectable with plenty of chewy roasted espresso, some dark unsweetened bakerís chocolate, a touch of hot peppers, some black dirt earthiness. Velvety smooth, thick mouthfeel. One of the best Porters I have had in a long time. Bought with the gift card I got from my son for my birthday - thanks!

2.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Draft @ redlight redlight. Dark chocolate on the nose with hints of cafe mocha. The pours dark brown with a reddish hue when held to the light. Chocolate and tart cherries upfront with milk chocolate notes. A little thin in the body and overall the flavor donít seem to meld well. Not my favorite from ommegang

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 14/20
750, corked and baled. Pours black with a dense and creamy dark tan head, lots of rings of drippy sedimentary lace. Nice roasty porter nose; when the beer is cold the chocolate and cherries are not especially quick to announce themselves. As it warms, a dark baking chocolate note and a nice cherry cordial effect emerge. Creamy thick body, soft wooly carb. Roasty porter effect on the mid palate but as the beer warms the chocolate notes take over, mixed with some residual malt sugar and that cherry cordial note as well. Very pleasant and inviting dessert beer, and probably would work well as an accompaniment to a meal cooked for a date.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Chocolate cherry Belgian Porter with subtle notes of caramel. Lighter body and more complex than the typical porter. The flavor evolves with every sip. Creamy and smooth. Delicious. The chocolate and cherries provide a nice aftertaste with some mild bitterness.

Great dark brown cloudy body with a tan foamy head. Aroma is very roasty, a little more than most porters. Medium bitter taste. Iím honored to be only the 12th person to rate this one.
