Growler from Shoreline Beverage. Pours black with a small ring of tan head that dissipates quickly. Aroma of buttered popcorn and roasted malt. Flavor is pretty similar, slightly more roasted with a tinge of coffee. Ok stout but pretty weak.

Fresh 10 oz. "growler." Aroma of roasted malt, dark fruit, toasted butterscotch, cheap coffee. Flavor primarily roasted malt with that weird cheap coffee. Pleasant enough, but also kind of blah.

Tap @ Sierra. While I’m on my Ommegang tear I’ll dig up the stout I had last spring. Not overly impressed but with some roasted malt and bitter aromas it made for an interested brew. Don’t need to have again really.

Tap @ Blind Tiger. Pours a nice deep brown/black color with a fluffy tan/cream head. Aroma is heavily roasted malt with a little toffee thrown in. Taste is the same, with added wood, coffee, and chocolate notes adding to the experience. I enjoyed it.

On tap at MacGregor’s in Henrietta. Black color with a dark tan head of nitro-induced fluff. The aroma is muted - I could only smell the roast and maybe a hint of something toffee-ish. The flavor was a bit more complex. Some burnt wood, toffee, and just a touch of sweetness. The body was silky smooth, although I’m sure the nitro tap had a lot to do with it. A very easy drinking, pleasant experience.

Had on tap at Mad Mex. Aroma was light chocolate and roast. Pretty easy to drink stout. I could have put down a few of these. Talked to the brewery rep and even got a free hennepin out of it!
