Clear amber with an off white bubbly head. Medium sourness, light sweetness. Medium body, lively sparkling carbonation with a nice sweet finish where the cherries come through. Very well balanced beer and the alcohol is masked very well. Definitely try this beer. NDbeerdrinker (164), Virginia Beach, Virginia, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Mar 27, 2009 Pours a reddish-brown with a big foamy tan head. Aroma is yeast, dark fruit, cherry, some caramel. Flavor is heavy malt up front which eases into the dark fruit flavor, and ends with a lingering bready spice to it. I like how the beer kind of works through the flavors as you taste it and it has a nice complexity to it. Pretty good stuff. green (187), Boston, Massachusetts, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Mar 26, 2009 Limited head retention. Sweet but doesn’t cover noticeable bitterness; not overwhelmingly unbalanced though.
Generally sharp with dark fruits. Slightly thin mouthfeel. Almost tastes like wine; but not a very profound wine. l1br4r14n (275), Washington, Washington DC, USA

Flavor is more of the same, plus raisins, plums, belgian yeast and a little alcohol. I love a good quad and this one is fantastic. RaginCajun (284), Dallas, Texas, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Mar 25, 2009 Looks great in the glass and the aroma was pungent and appetizing. I think this beer is too bold in the flavor and alcohol departments, and it is not very refined because of that. Perhaps this is a brew that could use some aging, but the sweetness of the alcohol is what dominated the palate for me. french tickler (642), Aylmer, Quebec, Canada
