Apr 2, 2008 Bomber. Slightly hazy medium brown with a dense head. Toasty fruit/nut aroma. Caramel malt and raisin flavor. I was expecting more cherry, it’s hidden in there. Some bitterness and spice on the end. Fantastic beer.

Apr 2, 2008 Pours a medium brown with a big creamy tan head that lasts. Nice lacing forms on the glass. Hefty dark fruit aromas, most notable cherry. Some spiciness as well, and lots of brown sugar sweetness. First taste is a bit shocking, but it mellows over time. Lots of sweet fruitiness, with a hint of alcohol on the finish. Really really really good.

Apr 1, 2008 Dry and bready. Lots of yeasty esters. Cinnamon, black pepper. Some hidden cherry flavor, but really overwhelmed by the malt and yeast.

Apr 1, 2008 Looks great, and smells even better, this gets perfects there. The taste is strong and good, but its too much to really get into. Good for a taste but the whole bottle is alot to tackle. You do get alot of bang for the buck, so that boosts the overall.

Mar 30, 2008 Pours tea-brown with a large tan head. Aroma is great, cherries, citrus, alcohol, baking bread, anf faint all-spice in the bouquet. Flavor starts bready, quickly moving through a woody section, cherries, hop "pepper", alcohol note, and a lingering, rye bread-like finish. Very nice.

Mar 30, 2008 Updated: Oct 22, 2008Bottle (75 cl) from Systembolaget. Hazy ruby with medium creamy yellow/beige head. Dark fruits, burnt sugar, cherries and wood in the aroma. Medium bodied and very smooth mouthfeel. Good balance, perhaps just a bit too sweet.

Mar 29, 2008 Bottled, 2007. Poured clear brown with ruby highlights and a tan, foamy head. Nose was cherries, yeast, and malt. Flavor was sweet malt, cherry pits, wood, soft alcohol notes. Finish was dry and nicely bitter with a finely carbonated mouthfeel.

Mar 28, 2008 I love this beer. At this moment, this is my favorite beer. Brewery Ommegang has won my heart. I buy this at the grociery store down the street from me in the corked bottle. It pours a very dark amber, with a scent of black cherries, and other glorious fruitiness. The flavor of this beer hits you as soon as it enters your mouth and hangs around long after it has left. Almost perfectly smooth. Anytime I have friends over I share some of this with them and they are immediately overcome with the greatness of this beer.
