4.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bottle 0,75L. Thanks to Kita for sharing. Hazy, medium ruby red colour with creamy, light brown, fully lasting head and excellent lacing. Aroma of cherry, cooked red wine, cinnamon, apple, citruses and oak cask wood. Taste is light bitter at the start and moderate bitter at the end of the sip, aromated with cherry and red wine note. Full bodied, oily beer with soft carbonation.

4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Have always liked this beer. Light and fizzy on the one side. Yet complex esters, with chocolate, cherries, little vanilla, and a lovely mineral aftertaste. Powerful but elegant, like I am, in my mind anyway.

8/15/2010. From bottle. 2010 version. Dark copper color with a tan head. Dried fruit aromas with Belgian yeast, brown sugar, light hops, and caramel. Up there with the best.

4.8 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
Unquestionably one of the very best quadrupel ales on the market today. It manages to succinctly encompass all that makes a quadrupel. Very spicy, pungent and deep toned.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
750ml bottle. Appearance: large, frothy white head, excellent lacing, cloudy body. Aroma: molasses, grain, citrus, horse blanket. Taste: average duration, heavily sweet, lightly acidic. Palate: full body, alcoholic texture, lively carbonation, chalky finish. Not my favorite, but a well balanced beer.

2.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Smells like a nice beer. Non homogenous appearance throughout. Darker in the middle. Taste is complex, did not like finish. Multiple tastes required to put words to this delicate beauty. Palate similarly complex. Did not enjoy the infusion of cherry ale. I found this beer in a 750 mL bottle at my local Costco. Good beer to give as a gift for sharing and celebration. Would not drink a whole bottle in one sitting myself.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
On tap - deep burgundy color sweet on nose and palate - pricey for a 6 barrel. Really enjoyed this beer.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Pours hazy deep copper, off-white head. Nose of fruity esters, alcohol, cherry (which blends with the esters along with the dark fruit so it’s hard to tell what comes from what), peppery. Flavour is alcohol, fortified wine-like, with wood and a lot of cherries in there. A very nice Big Beer.

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Dark copper pour out of bottle. Opaque. Burnt caramel nose. Great beer--alcohol is very hidden in this one. strong dark fruit presence without being overly sweet.

4.7 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
A sweet sugary aroma, it almost smells like the taste of cabernet franc grapes in the fall. Flavor is predominantly of a gentle sweet and acididic pear with touches of caramel and golden delicious apples balanced with light hopping bitterness. Color is a light brownish, but nearly opaque, purple. Palate is light, with minimal carbonation. A very well done beer. This reminds me a lot of Brewery Vivant’s "Solitude."
