COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Tripel Perfection. An audacious claim based on three years work at happily perfecting our take on a tripel. 8.9% ABV, lush aromas, full body, elegant tastes – with a hint of spicing – and a perfect body paired with lively effervescence.
The tripel is among the most popular of Belgian ales. Brewed with simple ingredients and fierce attention, there is little room for error, but plenty of opportunity. Perfection isn’t easily achieved – but once achieved it is always memorable.

750 c&c. Probably from Monument in Concord some months ago. Pours very hazy gold with a creamy 3 finger white head. Aromas of citrus, stone fruit and yeast/spice. Med body; lightly frothy carbonation. The flavor is somewhat yeast/spice, citrus or cardamom, malty and a lightly earthy finish. It’s quite nice in the mouth, and the flavors work well together.

Bottle - 750mL - corked and caged. Deep amber pour with a steep, frothy white head. Yeasty and spicy aroma hides sweet malts, light floral notes, candied fruit and hints of bubblegum. Taste is rich, sweet malt, sweet, ripened fruit, dusty yeast, subtle spices, and floral hops. Body is medium-full with a strong, prickly carbonation. Ends with more sweet malt, bubblegum notes, yeast, floral hops, spices, and ripe fruit. Very tasty! Nice offsetting of the spices and sweetness.

Pour is hazed orangey with a big bubbled (and fast fading) off white head...smell is very perfumey with vanilla, estery yeast, some sweet citrus notes, and cookie dough...taste is malty and mild at first...lots of nice bread and dough flavors...some nice vanilla and caramel flavors along with a hint of pepper and alcohol...lingering finish with a hint of booze...nice chewy mouthfeel...

750ml Bottle from TW. A hazy golden orange hue with an inch of head that dissipates to a thin layer. Spicy peppery Belgian like aroma, some light funk and sourness. Spritzy mouthfeel, lightly coating, some dryness in the fish and a fair amount of hop bitterness, Again very belgian in that respect. Flavor is spot on for the style. A little sweet and tart with dry finish. Good yeast flavor and spicy. Really great Tripel from a US Brewer!!

Draft, multiple samples at BCTC 2008. Poured hazy golden, capped with a large, frothy off-white head. Aroma was primarily tripel yeast and wheat, with some tropical fruit, coriander and other spices. Flavor was mainly yeast, with spice, white pepper, citrus, and tropical fruit. Above average tripel.

Tasted from 750mL bottle. Pours golden with a decent white head. Nose of wheat, candy malt, lemon, orange, and a slightly honeyed aroma. Palate is honey, orange, lemon, and a light sweetness. The body is medium with lively carbonation and a medium citrus finish.

Notes from BCTC 09. Maybe had this in 08 as well. Aroma and flavor are really nice. Aroma has belgian spices, a bit of pepper and fruity esters. Flavor is slightly sweet but not too much, dries out a bit which is nice. Crisp with a hint of citrus, spice and yeast with a nice body. Well balanced and I like the dry finish. Can’t wait to try the bottles.
