2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 Drake (4803) - Charlottesville, Virginia, USA - AUG 13, 2010
This is one of those kinds of beers that I can always get and never have. 12 ounce bottle from Beer Run in Charlottesville, VA. Pours a hazy lemon yellow color with a large pillowy head. Fair head retention and lacing. Aroma of big citrus notes, wet dog and a bit of caramel. The taste is caramel, citrus and a faintly weird flavor. Spices appear in the finish. Medium bodied. Not really a fan of this one.

Hazy golden, bright white head fluffy, rocky nice lacing... very traditional aroma of citrus yeast coriander delicately balanced... Flavor is not too yeasty, quite a bit of orange as it warms, delicately spicy, not too much not too little, very nice... Not super lively, easy drinking, not weighed down by the yeast, touch dry in the finish, medium light body... Top notch flavorful wit....
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 matthasson (254) - Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 11, 2010
Hazy straw yellow color, jam-packed with tiny rapidly rising bubbles. Decently sized white head tops off. Smell is first sweet with aspects of fresh lemon peels, citrusy orange, dash of coriander, backed by spicy yeast notes. Much like the nose, the flavor begins semi sweet, lining the mouth with fruity lemon zest and added spices. Refreshingly crisp light body makes for a great session. Balanced peppery yeast spice makes for a great taste. Finishes dry and somewhat tart.

Yellow our with a fluffy white head. Nose is oranges, wheat, lemon, faint coriander/spices. Great on the palate, flavor is wheat, lemon, oranges, and spicy. Pretty refreshing too.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 JaBier (2999) - Capital City, Ohio, USA - AUG 3, 2010
Beer of the month at Winking Lizard. Hazy gold/orange pour with a thick white head. Nose of banana, clove, coriander, lemon and orange. Banana and clove dominate the flavor, but I’m also picking up some citrus and herbal character before the dank and somewhat bitter finish.

This brew is a hazy light orange color with a stark white head that soon fades to lacing around the edge of the glass. Aroma is citrus and a little spice. Carbonation is above average. The flavor is really on the tart side. The finish is slightly bitter. Somehow this version of the Wit lacks the roundness or balance of Hoegaarden or even Allagash White.

Hazy pale yellow with golden glimts. Plenty of yeast, wheat and coriander in the nose. Flavor had yeast, wheat, coriander and a touch of orange peel. Finished slightly sweet.
